A welcome package with a city map, train tickets (if relevant), and any other touristic information that we deem you may find useful will be given to you by your driver upon arrival. Alternative arrangements will be made if you do not have a private transfer at the start of your itinerary.
A great way to see the city and experience it in local fashion is to rent a bike. Amsterdam is one of the most cycle-friendly cities in the world and bicycles have sometimes more space on the road than their fellow pavement users. Expect to pay EUR12 per day for a bike rental. From the picturesque Jordaan district where streets are named after flowers to the artistic Westerpark where open-air concerts, theatre and exhibitions take place, Amsterdam abounds with walking opportunities that combine well with cultural heritage. Amsterdam's infamous Red Light District is in the very centre of the city, concentrated on two canals, Oudezijds Voorburgwal and Oudezijds Achterburgwal, and the interconnecting streets.
Your English speaking guide will meet you at your hotel and take you on a tour of wonderful Amsterdam. Your guide will take you through the most picturesque neighborhood of Amsterdam on foot, the canals, the bridges, and to the beautiful 17th and 18th century mansions along the canals. You will also see the Royal Palace on Dam square, the historic buildings along the Amstel River, the colorful flower market and more. Cruise the canals by boat, the best way to see Amsterdam; Holland’s capital has 100 canals and 1000 bridges. While cruising through the old city you will see elegant merchant's mansions, carillon-topped churches and warehouses dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries.
Enjoy dinner at leisure. There are lots of good places to choose from. Here are some suggestions: De Kas, Kamerlingh Onneslaan 3, Tel: (0)20-462-4562. An old greenhouse converted into a beautiful dining room. You can be sat at the chef’s table, under the 8 metre high glass conservatory or if the weather permits on the patio. Not to be missed, 11 mixes with perfection great quality food, brilliant atmosphere and a unique location. Although the entrance could put some people off, it is worth going to the 11th floor of the Post CS building and admire the view over the city. EUR29.50 for a 3-course dinner.
Begin with a visit to the Aalsmeer´s world famous flower auction (closed Sundays and replaced by a visit of a traditional wooden shoe maker). Continue to Rotterdam, the second largest city of the Netherlands, characterized by its contemporary and fascinating architecture. The next stop is at the picturesque town of Delft. During your visit to the Delft Blue Pottery Factory, you'll learn about the historical developments of these ceramic techniques. From Delft you drive to The Hague for a city tour. Pass by the highlights of their governmental city like the House of Parliament and the Peace Palace. During this excursion you can visit Madurodam. This miniature city offers you the highlights of the Netherlands on a scale 1:25.

Today take the train from Amsterdam to Bruges. The journey from Brussels to Bruges will be done with a Intercity train. The ride will take approximately 4 hours.

Discover the 'Venice of the North', with your own English speaking guide as you walk through Bruge, the most romantic city in Belgium, with medieval bridges spanning meandering canals. The city centre is car free allowing for a pleasant, traffic-free walking tour. The tour will introduce you to the history and main sites of the town as you stroll by the artistic wealth of sites such as, innumerable monuments, historical buildings and churches. You will also get the chance to admire the marvelous market square, city hall, the belfry and its halls as well as the numerous canals and the typical God houses (late medieval-looking houses bearing a name and a year on the outside wall) which can be seen everywhere in the city. You will also enjoy a cruise on the canals of Bruges.

Enjoy a transfer by train from Bruges to Brussels on an intercity train. Travel time is approximately 2 hours.

Today, enjoy a shared sightseeing tour of Antwerp, Belgium's second largest city and Europe's second largest harbour. Above all, it is the city where the 17th century, world-famous painter, Peter Paul Rubens lived out his life. Your coach tour includes a guide. Visit the Market Square with its ancient houses and Our Lady's Cathedral. This cathedral contains amongst other treasures, two of Rubens' masterworks: "The Elevation of the cross" and” The descent from the cross". Antwerp is also the world's diamond centre. You will visit a DIAMOND WORKSHOP. Drive through the oldest part of Antwerp’s harbour where the entrance fee is included and then drive to Brussels.

"We just returned from a 10 day trip to Paris and Normandy. We spent three nights in Paris and then enjoyed a seven night cruise on the Seine to Normandy with AMA Waterways. The time in Paris was well spent and has piqued our interest to return for a more thorough visit. Guide Wafaa Lankey was superb in our visit to Versailles. The Seine cruise was relaxing and beautiful. So many wonderful little towns and we wished we had more time in each one to explore and enjoy.
We traveled to Croatia and Slovenia using Kensington earlier this year which was a fantastic trip."
