The Hotel Kong Frederik (4*) is one of the city’s most classical and historic hotels with a prime location close to the Town Hall square, Tivoli Gardens and boutique shopping. Throughout the years the hotel has been the choice of international performing artists and legendary Danish poets.
The hotel re-opened its doors in April 2010 after a large refurbishment that offers the same legendary Townhouse atmosphere as before, - but with a twist of modernity. In the large atrium in the middle of the hotel you can enjoy afternoon tea in the shade of the large olive tree whilst overlooking the library. A library theme is one of the recurring elements of the new décor which is the actual theme in some of the rooms where the wallpaper is decorated with beautiful books. Besides the "Library" style, there are also romantic and classical themes throughout the rooms in the hotel.
First Hotel Kong Fredrik offers a variety of room categories of high standard. The principal difference is that of room size.The rooms have: bathtubs, free broadband internet, cable TV, complimentary free minibar, concierge service and all White Amenities.
Public House Gastro pub offers a modern interpretation of English classics such as Beef Wellington, Shepards pie, fish ´n chips, bread and butter pudding and sponge cake - all hand made and based on the best ingredients of the seasons. Gastro pub means an unprentious restaurant with simple, classic dishes based on English ingredients such as mussels, Angus meat, Scottish lamb and lots of other delicious ingredients.
