The Lawn Tennis Championships at Wimbledon have developed from the garden party atmosphere of the first meeting in 1877, witnessed by a few hundred spectators, to a highly professional tournament attracting an attendance of almost half a million people, and through the press, radio and television a following of millions throughout the world. Wimbledon is the premier tennis tournament in the world, hosted by the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, and every true tennis fan should make a journey to this bastion of tennis history at least once in their lifetime. Surrender to pomp and circumstance as the world’s best players serve & volley on the emerald grass, enjoy Debenture seats and spend your nights exploring London's best restaurants close to your centrally located hotel.

Day 3: Wimbledon - London
Jump the queues and take your seats on centre court with at one of the most famous tennis venues in the world. Indulge in strawberries and cream, a glass of chilled Pimm’s and afternoon tea in the sun; all images synonymous with a great day out at Wimbledon. Today’s matches are first round matches, and while the exact schedule won’t be finalized until closer to the date, you can be sure that there will be a variety of exciting singles matches to watch, whether on Centre Court or on any of the outside courts. Enjoy the spectacle of the parade of hats on display, from the fantastic to the sublime, from the quirky to the extravagant. Watch world class players fight for the championship, and if you’re lucky, watch Federer fight to claim his fifth successive Wimbledon title as he seeks to surpass the legacy of Sampras. After the day’s exhilarating matches, transfer back downtown.

Shopping in London
Day 4: London
Here are some ideas for a self-guided Shopping Tour... Outside of the mainstream shopping street of Oxford Street, Regent Street and Knightsbridge, there are plenty of great areas to check out... The Cabbages & Frocks Market in Marylebone High Street offers the best of global food, together with fashion and lifestyle. Popular with out of towners, St Christopher's Place is one of the most exciting specialist shopping locations in the West End. The area is made up of walkways that include Gees Court, St Christopher's Place, James Street, Barrett Street and parts of Oxford Street and Wigmore Street. Duke of York Square, in Chelsea is the area's newly developed pedestrian precinct. The eateries feature great outdoor spaces. One of the best places for outdoor shopping, Spitalfields is a quirky shoppers' dream. If you're looking for a one-off piece or something truly unique, you'll find it here.
