Your icebreaker ship, 50 Years of Victory, will take you to a part of the world more commonly associated with fairy tales and folklore—the North Pole. Crushing through multi-year pack ice, the journey to 90°N can take as long as a week, which only helps to heighten the level of excitement. Visitors to the North Pole usually number in the mere hundreds each year. Soak up the icy surroundings knowing that even polar bears and harp seals are rare visitors to this extremity of the earth. Celebrate with champagne upon your arrival, ecstatic that you've been to the top of the world. A professional expedition team will provide lectures and education about this incredibly vast polar wilderness. This North Pole cruise provides opportunities to photograph everything from delicate tundra wildflowers (bring your micro lens) to sparkling landscapes of ice and snow (bring your filters)! You'll also need a long lens to capture polar bears, walrus and unusual birds. Rest assured, your remote location won't stop you from enjoying fine dining aboard your icebreaker, with an eclectic menu crafted by a professional Chef. A once-in-a-lifetime adventure awaits.
