SORAT Insel-Hotel (4*) is located on an island in the middle of the Danube river in Regensburg. With a spectacular postcard view across the Danube of the stone bridge, the old town centre and the cathedral. The listed hotel building was once a crafts manufactory. An enchanting location, which although is central, is quiet. The 75 rooms all have marble bathrooms with black granite floors. All include the modern features that will satisfy each guest. The hotel's interior is reminiscent of art déco and the time of the grand ocean liners of the 1930s. The features in each room at the SORAT Insel-Hotel are floor heating, partial air conditioning, WLAN, telephone, fax/PC plug , satellite TV, pay TV, radio, desktop, mini-bar, bath or shower, and hair dryer. There is 1 room with wheel-chair access, and guests can also request a non-smoking room.
The Bradner Restaurant boasts young and ambitious cuisine. It has comfortable seats either in the restaurant or on the patio, with stunning view over the old town. The Brandner restaurant is one of the top 100 gourmet addresses according to the Der Feinschmecker gourmet magazine. The Danube Lobby Bar has a large panorama window which extends over three floors. The bar not only boasts a wide selection of cocktails, but also offers the finest view of the famous stone bridge.
