The spa, wellness and conference hotel Danubius Health Spa Resort Margitsziget is situated on Margaret Island (Margitsziget) in the heart of Budapest. Margaret Island, which stretches for 4 kilometres along the centre of the River Danube, is a protected, leafy, botanical parkland area with ancient trees, a Japanese Garden, a Rose Garden, an open-air theatre and walking and jogging tracks. The island is car-free, but hotel guests can access the island by car for the hotel. It was the 1st metropolitan spa hotel in the world that offered a wide range of spa and therapeutic services, wellness and beauty treatments as well as fitness facilities. The hotel has recently been renovated to harmonize with its woodland setting on Budapest's beautiful Margaret Island. The hotel now boasts one of Europe's top Health Spas, the therapies of which are based on the utilisation of the water from three of the island's natural thermal water springs. It is one of the Royal Spas of Europe.

The 267 comfortable, air-conditioned rooms have a balcony overlooking either the Danube or Margaret Island. Rooms are equipped with TV with satellite channels, room safe, minibar, hairdryer, coffee and tea making facilities, and supplied with 220 V electric current outlets. Bathrobe is provided in the rooms. High-speed broadband wireless Internet access (WiFi) is available in the rooms. Rooms for smokers, rooms for physically challenged guests and connecting rooms are available. Pets are welcome.

Platán Restaurant, with garden terrace, offers a variety of Hungarian, International and dietetic cuisine, and a culinary evening every Thursday. Boróka Lobby Bar, Neptune Pool Bar, Kamilla Coffee Shop serve a wide range of light meals, salads and Danubius Wellness Menus, tasty cakes, ice creams, teas and coffee, beers, cocktails and refreshments. Széchenyi Restaurant in the Grand Hotel is also available to the guests of the Danubius Health Spa Resort Margitsziget. This has a terrace overlooking the park; dining is accompanied by gypsy music.
