Le Meridien (5*) is one of the newest five star hotels of the capital. It is a real jewel ideally located in the historic downtown, in the cultural, shopping and business center. The marble-floored lobby has a fireplace and is decorated with Persian rugs, heavy satin drapes, antique-style sofas, and chandeliers. The dark-wood reception desk is flanked by gilt Egyptian statues. This hotel offers 218 guestrooms with air conditioning and soundproofing. The hotel houses a fitness center with indoor swimming pool and spa tub.There is also a health club where massage and various body treatments are offered.
The exterior of the hotel is stately and elegant. The interior is finely decorated with lively colours and brilliant lighting which create a mood of affluence and class. The hotel is replete with classical furnishings and the lobby is crowned with aureate cornice and embellished with exquisite tapestries. A superb lighting scheme caresses the softly coloured walls of each room with a soothing touch of luminosity. The Entrance Hall opens into a stunning stained-glass dome with Le Bourbon restaurant and Atrium Café offering a warm, elegant atmosphere. Le Bourbon restaurant represents some of the best culinary highlights of the city with its French touch. The cosy Adria Palace Bar occupying the original entrance hall of the building has been fully restored with huge Doric columns, marble floor and inlaid marble-clad walls. The bar awaits its guests with excellent live music with a singer and pianist.
Comfortable, spacious rooms with tasteful interior decoration in Art Deco Style with a smooth combination of the blue and beige colours, large windows overlooking either the Erzsebet square or the quiet Deak Ferenc pedestrian street. All the rooms are double rooms either with king-size or with twin beds. All the bathrooms have bathtub and separate shower as well. Bourbon Restaurant is a restaurant with an Art Deco glass-domed ceiling and tapestried walls. Large chandelier of blown glass. French food with Hungarian flair. Buffet breakfast, a la carte lunch, and dinner. Hungarian folk show featured on Friday evenings. Sunday brunch cooked in open kitchen. Adjoining atrium café serves afternoon tea.
The hotel offers a health club with an indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam bath. The indoor pool and spa converge to create a striking, sapphire drenched sanctuary of rest and relaxation.
