Höfn Hotel (3*) was founded in the year 1966 and is one of the better established hotels in the country. It's located in the center of town and has a breathtaking view over the magnificent glaciers, the circle of mountains and the fjord. Hótel Höfn has 68 comfortable rooms all equipped with a TV, radio, telephone, computer access and a private bath. A dining room/board room, seating 140 guests is situated at the top floor. A smaller restaurant "Ósinn" featuring courses such as pizza, steak and lobster is on the ground floor. The hotel has a bar and great facilities for conferences and all kinds of gatherings.
From most rooms there is a terrific view to the mountains or the ocean. All the rooms are equipped with a private bathroom, satellite TV, telephone, WiFi high speed internet access, and hair dryer. Pick from a Double Standard, Double Superior, and Twin/Double Standard.

Hótel Höfn has a variety of refreshments. On the menus you can choose from pizzas to gourmet steaks and lobster feasts. The special on the menu is the lobster as this area is known for lobster fishing and Höfn is known to be “The lobster town" of Iceland. On the ground floor is the restaurant Ósinn serving pizzas, fast food and lobster, and on the top floor of the hotel is a comfortable dining room seating 150 persons. It includes a high class bar.
In this area of Höfn, you´ll find a wide variety of recreation and activities. Trips on to Vatnajökull, the biggest glacier in Europe, are popular as are trips and sailing on Jökulsárlón, Glacier lagoon, which is one of the most famous tourist-attraction in Iceland.
