The journey starts by exploring one of the many lava caves in the Blue Mountains just outside of Reykjavik. Next, travel to the geothermal area of the Hengill Volcano and take a hike into an area filled with hot springs and bubbling mud pools. The hike continues through a valley where you can take a relaxing bath in a warm river, so make sure to bring your swimsuit and towel along.
Lush valleys and lava fields with soft moss, abundant birdlife, diverse flora, craters and salmon rivers characterize the West part of Iceland. Experience the full scenery of Snæfellsnes Peninsula and take a short cruise in the amazing Breidafjordur bay. Enter a world of thriving bird and marine life. A highlight of the boat tour is when a net is hauled in and everyone can taste the shellfish and sea-urchin roe. After reaching Stykkishólmur and enjoying the boat tour (approx 2,5 hours), we travel along the coast passing through charming fishing villages with a stop at Djupalonssandur and Arnarstapi before returning to Reykjavik.
The boat tour depends on weather and birdlife is limited during late summer months. Some walking is required on this excursion.
Enjoy a private transfer between Reykjavik International Airport and your hotel with private vehicle and English-speaking driver. Your driver will make a stop at the Blue Lagoon for you to enjoy the famous healing properties of the mineral waters (entrance fee included).

"Overall, our tour in Spain was very enjoyable, and well planned and executed. Our private tour of the Alhambra was excellent. Virginia, tour guide for royal palace ruins outside of Cordoba, was also excellent. In Seville, we went to the Flamenco Show/dinner, and the Flamenco was outstanding!"

"My husband and I took a 3 week vacation to southern Europe and North Africa and had a great time. All the guides were very knowledgeable and bend over backwards to accommodate us. The arrangement made by Kensington went off without a hitch. This is our second trip with Kensington (we went to Peru in 2009) and we will certainly book with them again."
