Ballyseede Castle

Ballyseede Castle is located on its own thirty acres of gardens and woodland. At the approach is an imposing entrance gateway with pillars of block granite. The Castle stands on its own grounds at the end of a winding carriage drive. This elegant Castle looks as if it were built to outlive the vices and follies of man. It has been fought over, lived in and loved, and carries forward its ancient grandeur to this age.

    Ballyseede Castle offers elegant rooms. Some with four poster beds, king size beds and a number of family rooms comprising of two double beds. All Bedrooms are elegant and spacious and come in a large variety from single to mini-suites to deluxe four posters. The en-suites have power showers, hair dryers, and the toiletries are from the Gilchrist and Soames Spa Therapy range. All rooms provide beautiful cotton robes for each guest and tea and coffee. Flat screen televisions and a selection of channels in English, French and German. A selection of DVD's are available for viewing in the comfort of your own room. All the castle's bedrooms have direct dial phone.

      Whether it is a five course scrumptious dinner or sitting by the fire in the Library Bar dining is a must when it comes to Ballyseede Castle. Share in the ultimate pampering with afternoon tea served in our lounges. The O' Connell Restaurant is intimate yet elegant and has lovely views of the front lawn and Ballyseede Wood. The hotel chef's prepare the most delicate foods sourced locally and presented with all the flair and extravagance expected from a Castle experience. To enhance the wonderful table d'hote menu an extensive wine list is chosen with great care. From the connoisseur to the tasty table wine there is a bottle for every palate. Life is too short to drink bad wine!

        The hotel is ideally located for touring both the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula, which are two of the most scenic areas in Ireland. Enjoy the breath taking ever-changing scenery around the Lakes of Killarney, the Macgillycuddy Reeks and the Atlantic Shore line. Golfing enthusiasts are spoilt for choice with some of the best golf courses in Europe at your doorstep. Just a few miles away is the world famous Ballybunion seaside course which in the past has played host to a number of former U.S presidents. Other activities on offer include: fishing, the aqua dome water park one of Ireland's biggest indoor water parks, boating and angling.
