This walking tour begins with a visit to the Uffizi Gallery, boasting some true masterpieces of art including Raphael’s “Madonna of the Goldfinch” and Leonardo Da Vinci’s “The Annunciation.” The tour continues with a walk through the Signoria Square to marvel at the re-created duplicate of Michelangelo’s statue of “David.” Next is a visit to the elegant Ponte Vecchio, which translates to “old-bridge,” dating back to 1345, this bridge was actually built to replace the once previous bridge structure that was unfortunately swept away during a vicious flood. Your final visits on this tour include stops at the 14th century Cathedral Square to view the Duomo, the Baptistery and Giotto’s Bell Tower. Pre-booked entrance fee to Uffizi Gallery included.
You will be picked up at your hotel by your private driver to leave for a drive to beautiful and famous 11th century Castelo Di Meleto where the vineyard of Meleto produces approximately 6000 kg of grapes per hectare (2.741 acres). The grapes are gathered by hand and destined for the production of the three great lines of Meleto wine cellars: 250 thousand bottles of Chianti ClassicoDOCG, 50 thousand bottles of Chianti ClassicoDOCG Reserve, and 50 thousand bottles of Castelo di Meleto Fiore. The Castle belonged to the Benedictine monks of the Coltibuono Abbey. The name "Meleto in Chianti" appears for the first time in 1269, in the Florentine Guelphs' "Libro degli Estimi," as the property of the family of Rainerii de Ricasolis. The Ricasoli family extended and embellished the building over the centuries, and today the Castle still has its massive 15th century fortifications with an imposing cylindrical tower built as protection against artillery fire. But there is also the aristocratic grace of the Villa Nobile, with its sequence of furnished and decorated rooms, and an unparalleled 18th century theatre. You will enjoy a private guided tour of the estate including the guest cottage, rooms inside the castle where you will also see 13th and 14th century art works and frescoes, the 18th century theater on the premises that is very unique to the region, the castle's small jail, and the cellar, while explanations on the wine making process will be given. You will then enjoy a rich lunch together with a wine tasting of 4 excellent wines from Castello Di Melleto. Upon completion of your lunch you will be driven to the nearby beautiful village of Radda in Chianti, the little jewel of the Chianti classic area where you will be provided free time to wander around prior to driving back to your hotel.

"Thank you for your follow up, we both loved our time in Croatia. It’s really a beautiful place, especially the coast. Your choice of hotels was great. It was an incredible view from the Bellevue hotel in Dubrovnik and the Vestibule in Split was in the best possible location. We were able to relax in our room listening to the wonderful singers in the courtyard and its central location made it so easy to walk anywhere we wanted to see with ease. "

"We just returned from a 10 day trip to Paris and Normandy. We spent three nights in Paris and then enjoyed a seven night cruise on the Seine to Normandy with AMA Waterways. The time in Paris was well spent and has piqued our interest to return for a more thorough visit. Guide Wafaa Lankey was superb in our visit to Versailles. The Seine cruise was relaxing and beautiful. So many wonderful little towns and we wished we had more time in each one to explore and enjoy.
We traveled to Croatia and Slovenia using Kensington earlier this year which was a fantastic trip."
