For your added comfort, we will have an English speaking assistant waiting for you outside the customs with a sign with your name on it. Your representative will help you to co-ordinate meeting up with your private driver and accompany you to your accommodation.
A welcome package with a city map, train tickets (if relevant), and any other touristic information that we deem you may find useful will be waiting for you upon your arrival at your first hotel on your trip.
Set out on what is considered by many as the most delightful and fascinating self-guided walks in the world! The “Eternal-city” of Rome boasts a variety of monumental piazzas (squares), Renaissance architectural masterpieces, and millennia of historical importance seamless synergized with modern, cozy cafes, superb shopping and gastronomic culinary delights…did someone say gelato! You will walk through the historical center, beginning with the Spanish Steps, also known as Piazza di Spagna, famously leading down to the city center, surrounded by fabulous shopping, from bargain to the top, designer name brands. Continue your Roman adventure with a visit to the Trevi Fountain where legend says if you flip a coin into the water, you are sure to return to Rome. The epic Piazza Colona's is fused into the core of city only a few blocks away from the massive Pantheon. Built in the First Century B.C., the Pantheon, for millennia, was the highest arched building in the world. Only a short walk away is the Piazza Navona, with the famous Fountain of the Four Rivers, Bernini's masterpiece. This square is often packed with artists, café visitors, and a swirl of smiling faces - this is truly a great place to experience the essence of Italian culture.
Hotel Alexandra (3*) is located on one of the most glamorous and important streets of Rome, Via Veneto. Alexandra Hotel has 60 rooms with antique decorations and designs blended with modern comforts. The hotel is surrounded by great sites, such as Barberini Square, Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the charming Villa Borghese Park and its Museum, the shopping center of Via del Corso and the fashionable boutiques of Via Condotti. All of this makes Hotel Alexandra the perfect gateway into the city. Dine at the beautiful open-air restaurant, featuring traditional Italian cuisine, as well as delicious international selections. Under new Roman law, hotels charge a small “tourist tax” per traveler per day. This needs to be paid locally through your hotel and will be added to your bill upon check out. Amounts may vary around 2EUR per person for 2* to 3* hotels and 3EUR for 4* to 5* hotels.
Hop aboard your privately driven vehicle, accompanied by an experienced local guide, outside your hotel for a 4 hour cultural journey through the center of Christianity, the Vatican. You're sure to be fascinated by the impressive collection of art and sculpture at the Vatican Museum and surely awe-struck by Michelangelo's surreal masterpiece which illuminates the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. His conception and execution of both the "Creation of the World" and "Last Judgment" are to this day hailed as one of the world's greatest achievements in art. Marvel at the Baroque and Renaissance inspired magnificence that is St. Peter's Basilica; featuring some 800 plus pillars, 44 altars and numerous heavenly created sculptures and paintings. Constructed over 100 years, St. Peter's Basilica is by far the largest and most renowned Catholic Church in the World. Whilst touring this holy hollows, speaking at a high tone is not permitted, so for this reason you will provided with a radio headset which your guide will whisper descriptions and information regarding this epic monument of Christianity. Upon completion of the tour, a return transfer to your hotel is provided. Entrance fee to Vatican included.
Rome is a great place for shopping. There are five main shopping areas: Spanish Steps & Via dei Condotti - This street is one of the richest streets in Italy and one of the best streets for shopping in Rome. The Via Dei Condotti is home to Italy's top designer stores. Via Del Corso – This busy pedestrian street runs from Piazza del Popolo down to Piazza Venezia. It is home to the famous shops like the Ferrari flagship store and Swarowski Crystal. Trastevere – This rather bohemian area of the city with its many winding streets is great for shopping and getting lost in. Be sure to check out the outdoor food market in Piazza San Cosimato where locals bargain with the vendors. (7am -2pm.) - Viale Marconi and Porta Portese- Viale Marconi is very good for shopping and is particularly popular with young trendy Romans. A bit out from the city centre, it can be reached by talking the Metro Line B to Marconi. It is about 15 minutes away from the Coliseum. Porta Portese is the famous Roman flea market which takes place every Sunday from 8am until about 2pm. Another place of interest for food and market lovers is the Piazza Vittorio where a mesmerizing array of fresh foods, fruits, fish and meat, run by people from all over the world is displayed. Piazza Navona & via del Governo Vecchio – The well known Piazza Navona is a great place for art lovers, as the surrounding streets contain lots of art galleries and antique shops.
Enjoy a shared afternoon tour to discover Ancient Rome, lasting approximately 3.5 fun-filled hours. You will be taken to Piazza Venezia, where you will see then imposing memorial of Victor Emanuel II, the first king of United Italy. The tour will then proceed to the Roman Forum, the old centre of the imperial city, where the Senate House, the Basilicas, and the Temples of the major gods are located. After walking along the Via Sacra and passing by the Arch of Titus, you will visit the Colosseum, surrounded by impressive monuments such us the ruins of the Arch of Constantine the Great. The last stop on your tour will be the 5th century Christian Basilica of St. Peter in Chains, where you will see the world famous Statue of Moses by Michelangelo. At the end of the tour you will be dropped off at your hotel. For your convenience, this tour includes the entrance fee to the Colosseum. Sit back and relax as you take this scenic train trip traveling from the Italian capital Rome, to the Tuscan city of Florence. Admire the Cyprus-lined village streets and picturesque vineyards on the hill during this short ride lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Rosso 23 Hotel (3*) is dynamic and contemporary with a fascinating inner court, located in a noble building at number 23 of Piazza Santa Maria Novella in Florence. The hotel is fully decorated in red and grey tones, providing 42 rooms, a common area, an elegant living room and a beautiful breakfast room. The fascinating staircase that leads to the upper floors is witness of the nobility of this building and leads to the guest rooms.
The most complete and thrilling guided walking tour starts from the central market zone, where the Medici Chapels, and Basilica di S. Lorenzo, the church of Medici’s family, are located. In a short time you can reach Piazza del Duomo, where you can admire the Cathedral and its dome by Brunelleschi, the bell-tower by Giotto, and Saint John Baptistery. The tour continues to the medieval quarters where Dante Alighieri and Beatrice lived. Further on you can find Palazzo del Bargello. Not too far, there is Piazza della Signoria, a great open-air sculpture museum, overlooked by the imposing Palazzo Vecchio. Next to it the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most important museums in the world. Then you proceed to the picturesque Mercato della Paglia (Straw Market). You then walk along the street that leads to Ponte Vecchio, the “jewels bridge”. By crossing the bridge, you will reach the wonderful Pitti Palace where our tour ends.
Enjoy this beautiful excursion through the delightful hills of the Chianti countryside, with ever-changing scenery of vineyards and olive trees. Upon arrival in Siena, there will be a guided tour of the old city centre. Walk along the small medieval streets, admiring the splendid palaces and ending up at the cathedral where you can visit the splendid interior including the Libreria Piccolomini and the adjacent Museo dell'Opera Metropolitana. The guided tour will conclude in the Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful in the world, where you will find the Palazzo del Comune. Free time for lunch (not included). After lunch, you will depart for San Gimignano a tiny city that has remained intact through the centuries; situated on a hilltop, it is famous for its numerous towers, frescoes and other art treasures. On the way back, through the ample coach windows, you will be able to admire the ancient medieval hamlet of Monteriggioni enclosed by its famous walls, still intact.
A private vehicle with a driver will provide an airport transfer. Please note drivers may or may not speak English as their sole responsibility is to transfer clients from one location to another. If you would like to have the presence of an English speaking Assistant or Guide for your transfer this can be pre-arranged upon request and would be subject to an additional supplement.

"People do not know what they are missing by not going to Romania. The landscape: beautiful, clean, untouched. The people: People exceeded friendly! Super safe. Wherever we went, we received the reception of "Welcome, welcome! You are our guest", by everyone. Food & Drink: Everything had such incredible flavor! They use only the freshest ingredients and everything is organic. Every meal was a new, exciting experience to our palettes. Architecture: The beauty, intricacy, history. One cannot help but appreciate the abundance of castles, churches and buildings boasting such incredible architecture. Experience Romania sooner than later! You’ll be so glad you did! "My husband and I took a 3 week vacation to southern Europe and North Africa and had a great time. All the guides were very knowledgeable and bend over backwards to accommodate us.
