Set out on what is considered by many as the most delightful and fascinating self-guided walks in the world! The “Eternal-city” of Rome boasts a variety of monumental piazzas (squares), Renaissance architectural masterpieces, and millennia of historical importance seamless synergized with modern, cozy cafes, superb shopping and gastronomic culinary delights…did someone say gelato! You will walk through the historical center, beginning with the Spanish Steps, also known as Piazza di Spagna, famously leading down to the city center, surrounded by fabulous shopping, from bargain to the top, designer name brands. Continue your Roman adventure with a visit to the Trevi Fountain where legend says if you flip a coin into the water, you are sure to return to Rome. The epic Piazza Colona's is fused into the core of city only a few blocks away from the massive Pantheon. Built in the First Century B.C., the Pantheon, for millennia, was the highest arched building in the world. Only a short walk away is the Piazza Navona, with the famous Fountain of the Four Rivers, Bernini's masterpiece. This square is often packed with artists, café visitors, and a swirl of smiling faces - this is truly a great place to experience the essence of Italian culture.
Visit the Vatican Museums in the Vatican City on this 2.5 hours guided small group tour, and see Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel ceiling. Your tour of Rome’s legendary art and architecture starts at the Vatican Museums, housing the most important ancient art collection in the world in some 1,400 rooms. With more than 65,000 works of art it’s would take a lifetime to see everything, but your guide will lead you to the best galleries to see frescoes, statues, tapestries, and historical maps by masters such as Botticelli, Pinturicchio, and Perugino. You will visit then the Saint Peter’s Basilica. Then continue to the Sistine Chapel to admire Michelangelo’s magnificent ceiling and Last Judgment. Rome is a great place for shopping. There are five main shopping areas: Spanish Steps & Via dei Condotti - This street is one of the richest streets in Italy and one of the best streets for shopping in Rome. The Via Dei Condotti is home to Italy's top designer stores. Via Del Corso – This busy pedestrian street runs from Piazza del Popolo down to Piazza Venezia. It is home to the famous shops like the Ferrari flagship store and Swarowski Crystal. Trastevere – This rather bohemian area of the city with its many winding streets is great for shopping and getting lost in. Be sure to check out the outdoor food market in Piazza San Cosimato where locals bargain with the vendors (7am -2pm). Viale Marconi and Porta Portese- Viale Marconi is very good for shopping and is particularly popular with young trendy Romans. A bit out from the city centre, it can be reached by talking the Metro Line B to Marconi. It is about 15 minutes away from the Coliseum. Porta Portese is the famous Roman flea market which takes place every Sunday from 8am until about 2pm. Another place of interest for food and market lovers is the Piazza Vittorio where a mesmerizing array of fresh foods, fruits, fish and meat, run by people from all over the world is displayed. Piazza Navona & via del Governo Vecchio – The well-known Piazza Navona is a great place for art lovers, as the surrounding streets contain lots of art galleries and antique shops.
This morning, discover beautiful Rome by foot as you enjoy a private, 3-hour guided walking tour. Don't forget your camera, as there will be plenty of photo opportunities when you visit the Spanish Steps, The Trevi Fountain, The Pantheon and Navona Square.

Sit back and relax as you take this scenic train trip traveling from the Italian capital Rome, to the Tuscan city of Florence. Admire the Cyprus-lined village streets and picturesque vineyards on the hills during this short ride lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
The most complete and thrilling guided walking tour starts from the central market zone, where the Medici Chapels, and Basilica di S. Lorenzo, the church of Medici’s family, are located. In a short time, you can reach Piazza del Duomo, where you can admire the Cathedral and its dome by Brunelleschi, the bell-tower by Giotto, and Saint John Baptistery. The tour continues to the medieval quarters where Dante Alighieri and Beatrice lived. Further on you can find Palazzo del Bargello. Not too far from there, there is Piazza della Signoria, a great open-air sculpture museum, overlooked by the imposing Palazzo Vecchio. Next, you will go to the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most important museums in the world. Then you proceed to the picturesque Mercato della Paglia (Straw Market). You then walk along the street that leads to Ponte Vecchio, the “jewels bridge.” By crossing the bridge, you will reach the wonderful Pitti Palace where your tour ends.
Enjoy this beautiful excursion through the delightful hills of the Chianti countryside, with ever-changing scenery of vineyards and olive trees. Upon arrival in Siena, there will be a guided tour of the old city centre. Walk along the small medieval streets, admiring the splendid palaces and ending up at the cathedral where you can visit the charming interior including the Libreria Piccolomini and the adjacent Museo dell'Opera Metropolitana. The guided tour will conclude in the Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful in the world, where you will find the Palazzo del Comune. You will have free time for lunch (not included). After lunch, you will depart for San Gimignano, a tiny city that has remained intact through the centuries; situated on a hilltop, it is famous for its numerous towers, frescoes and other art treasures. On the way back, through the ample coach windows, you will be able to admire the ancient medieval hamlet of Monteriggioni enclosed by its famous walls, still intact.
A private vehicle with a driver will provide an airport transfer. Please note drivers may or may not speak English, as their sole responsibility is to transfer clients from one location to another. If you would like to have the presence of an English speaking Assistant or Guide for your transfer, this can be pre-arranged upon request and would be subject to an additional supplement.

"We just returned from a 10 day trip to Paris and Normandy. We spent three nights in Paris and then enjoyed a seven night cruise on the Seine to Normandy with AMA Waterways. The time in Paris was well spent and has piqued our interest to return for a more thorough visit. Guide Wafaa Lankey was superb in our visit to Versailles. The Seine cruise was relaxing and beautiful. So many wonderful little towns and we wished we had more time in each one to explore and enjoy.
We traveled to Croatia and Slovenia using Kensington earlier this year which was a fantastic trip."
