Day 1: Venice
For your added comfort, we will have a Meet & Greet assistance for you upon your arrival which will be waiting for you outside the customs. Your representative will help to co-ordinate meeting up with your private water taxi driver at the airport and accompany you to your accommodation.
A welcome package with your vouchers, a city map, train tickets (if relevant) and any other touristic information that we deem you may find useful will be waiting for you upon your arrival at your first hotel on your trip.

Gondola Ride
Day 2: Venice
Depart from the hotel with an English speaking escort on a private taxi boat to the Venetian Lagoon’s most enchanting islands, Murano and Burano. Visit a glass factory on Murano, known for hundreds of years of glass making tradition, and a unique style. A private guide will lead you on a tour of the factory, where you can see a glass blowing demonstration and later purchase items from the display room if you are so inclined. You will then depart and transfer to the island of Burano, featuring cheerful houses painted in bright colours. Known for lace making, you will visit a Burano lace factory for a demonstration of the craft before having some time to stroll the narrow streets and barter with vendors. Return to Venice.
Sit back and relax on a marvellous and enchanting half an hour evening gondola ride through the Grand Canal and inner canals of Venice. You will breathe the atmosphere of this ancient city built on water. Your gondola will take you to the Antica Carbonera Restaurant, where you can enjoy typical traditional veneta and Italian plates. Departure from BACINO ORSEOLO Gondola station (near hotel Bonvechiati, right behind St. Mark’s Square) at 07.00 pm, arrival at restaurant around 7.30-07.40 pm. (Includes a 3 course menu (starter, main course + dessert) together with a Prosecco welcome drink).

Day 3: Venice - Florence
Please speak with the concierge at your hotel so that they can give you instructions as to how to get the nearest public water taxi to the train station. Please be aware that not all hotels have a private boat launch so you may have to go to the nearest water taxi stand. Alternatively, if you would like a private boat transfer to be arranged in advance, please speak to your Sales Advisor.

Day 4: Florence
Travel back to the Renaissance period during this half day walking tour that explores the renowned Italian city of Florence. This guided tour ensures that you visit some of the many landmarks and sites that have made Florence a global tourist hub, and one of Italy’s most beautiful cities. This walking tour begins with a visit to the Uffizi Gallery, boasting some true masterpieces of art including Raphael’s “Madonna of the Goldfinch” and Leonardo Da Vinci’s “The Annunciation.” The tour continues with a walk through the Signoria Square to marvel at the re-created duplicate of Michelangelo’s statue of “David.” Next is a visit to the elegant Ponte Vecchio, which translates to “old-bridge,” dating back to 1345, this bridge was actually built to replace the once previous bridge structure that was unfortunately swept away during a vicious flood. Along either end of the bridge, take this opportunity to view, and purchase if you’d like, some of the many items for sale including souvenirs, snacks and jewelry. Your final visits on this tour include stops at the 14th century Cathedral Square to view the Duomo, the Baptistery and Giotto’s Bell Tower.

San Gimignano
Day 5: Florence
Enjoy a full day shared tour which gives you the opportunity of discovering the Chianti region. A coach with an English speaking Guide will first take you through the countryside of the Chianti area with ever-changing scenery of vineyards and olive trees. Enjoy a visit to San Gimignano, a tiny city that has remained intact through the centuries. The city is situated on top of a hill and is famous for its numerous towers, fresco's and other art treasures. On arrival in Siena there is some free time for lunch (not included). Your guide will than bring you on a escorted visit through this magnificent city. You will see the Cathedral situated in the Piazza dal Campo, one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. Located near this famous Piazza is the Town Hall, and San Domenico, which is known for it's numerous treasures of Italian painting. During the return journey you will see the old medieval village of Monteriggioni enclosed by its famous walls which are still standing strong.

You’ll be fascinated by the Vatican Museum which houses one of the most impressive collections in the world. Admire the many works of art and visit the Sistine Chapel, dominated by the efforts of Michelangelo. The conception and execution of the ‘Creation of the World’ and ‘Last Judgment’ are positively titanic. You will also visit the magnificent St. Peter’s Basilica which took over 100 years to build and features Renaissance and Baroque styling. Resting on over the 800 pillars and adorned with 44 altars, St. Peter’s is by far the largest church in the world! VISA/PASSPORT
Italy is a party to the Schengen Agreement. As such, U.S. and Canadian citizens may enter for up to 90 days for tourist or business purposes without a visa. The passport should be valid for at least three months beyond the period of stay.

- Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $350). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure.
- Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $350 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of 30% of program price. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to loss of 100% of program price.

- Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
