This morning your personal guide will pick you up from the hotel for a sightseeing tour of Lublin. The city was for centuries known as a centre of Jewish intelligence. After the tour you will be transferred to Majdanek and visit the Concentration Camp. In the afternoon you’ll be transferred to Krakow via Lezajsk and Lancut.
Holiday Inn Krakow City Centre (4*) you will get a taste of Renaissance Krakow when you set eyes on replicas of Wawel Castle's wooden sculptured heads hanging in the welcoming lobby. Located in the hub of Old Krakow, 200 metres from the bustling Market Square and 800 metres from the Kazimierz Jewish Quarter. It's a short walk to historic Krakow attractions like 16th-century Wawel Castle, 1km away, with its throne room filled with 460 carved heads. The medieval Old Town is only 200 metres from the hotel. Descend the salt mines at Wieliczka, 15km away, for ornate rock salt carvings and sculpture and visit Auschwitz concentration camp, 40km away. The hotel houses 154 comfortable, air-conditioned rooms, all with free high speed internet access.
Half day tour of the Wawel Hill. This Gothic Royal Castle was built on the remains of a 10th century settlement. The magnificent Renaissance interiors contain numerous paintings, furniture and national memorabilia. Collection of famous "Wawel Tapestries" designed and made in Flandre, especially for the castle’s interiors, is truly unique. The renowned Sigismund Chapel with gold-plated dome is one of them. The Cathedral is also a necropolis of Polish Kings, Dukes and noble citizens, buried in numerous crypts, sarcophaguses, tombs and chapels. A walk down the river concludes the tour, and leads to a limestone cave, which is said to be the shelter of a legendary dragon. Entrance fees to wawel Castle and Cathedral are included.
Jewish community of Kraków gathered in the Kazimierz district in the 15th century, forming a unique, commercial, religious and cultural center. During the Holocaust, this small Jewish world was destroyed. Recent restorations have allowed for this community to regain some of its original, traditional Jewish appearance. During your tour, visit old and new synagogues. Take time to enjoy coffee, kosher wine and Paschal dish in the local restaurants. The area is also well know as the place that the film "Schindler's List" was shot. The tour also includes a drive by former Nazi labour camp in Plaszów, Schindler's glazery and house.
All over the world, Auschwitz has become a symbol of terror, genocide, and the Holocaust. Auschwitz was designed as the venue of the "final solution of the Jewish question in Europe". From spring 1942 until the fall of 1944, transport trains delivered Jews to the camp's gas chambers from all over Nazi-occupied Europe. It was the largest Nazi extermination camp, and site of the biggest genocide. The area is well preserved and nowadays it houses the Holocaust Museum, listed as being UNESCO Heritage site. The tour will include a 15-minute documentary movie serving as an introduction, then a visit to the brick-mortar barracks in Auschwitz I, and the extensive area of the large wooden extermination camp at Auschwitz II – Birkenau. Entrance fee is included. ((Your private guide will take you to Auschwitz and provide explanations, the actual tour of the site is a shared experience led by an Auschwitz guide.)
Enjoy dinner in a Jewish restaurant Ester located in the very heart of Krakow's Kazimierz district by the Old Synagogue. Surrounded by historic architecture, its kitchen serves traditional Polish, European, and Jewish dishes. Ester's chef assures a good atmosphere and the best food, whether at breakfast in the morning with freshly baked rolls, or lunch or dinner featuring exceptional original dishes.

"Overall, our tour in Spain was very enjoyable, and well planned and executed. Our private tour of the Alhambra was excellent. Virginia, tour guide for royal palace ruins outside of Cordoba, was also excellent. In Seville, we went to the Flamenco Show/dinner, and the Flamenco was outstanding!"

"My husband and I took a 3 week vacation to southern Europe and North Africa and had a great time. All the guides were very knowledgeable and bend over backwards to accommodate us. The arrangement made by Kensington went off without a hitch. This is our second trip with Kensington (we went to Peru in 2009) and we will certainly book with them again."

"Thank you for your follow up, we both loved our time in Croatia. It’s really a beautiful place, especially the coast. Our time in Dubrovnik and Split were awesome, in hind sight we both wished we would have went back to Split from Plitvice Lakes rather than carry on to Zagreb. We both found Split much more appealing and would have definitely preferred to spend another night there rather than Zagreb. We’ll know for next time! Your choice of hotels was great. It was an incredible view from the Bellevue hotel in Dubrovnik and the Vestibule in Split was in the best possible location. We were able to relax in our room listening to the wonderful singers in the courtyard and its central location made it so easy to walk anywhere we wanted to see with ease. "
