Start your day discovering the history and heritage of Lisbon in the company of a private driver. Settled along the centuries by such different civilizations as the Phoenicians, the Romans, the Visigoths and the Moors, the city is composed by seven hills overlooking the river Tejo. From the hilltop of the Castle and Alfama a “waterfall” of small houses and narrow streets descends towards the water, where once some of the glorious Portuguese sailors lived during the Portuguese Maritime discoveries. It was during this period that some of the most impressive monuments that we will visit were built: the Monastery of Jerónimos (16th century) the Tower of Belém (16th century) and the evocative Monument to the Discoveries (20th century). By the end of the morning you are sure to understand the magic of Lisbon a little better.
During the afternoon, visit the mythical area of Sintra & Estoril coast. Considered World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Sintra will enchant you by its lush vegetation that surrounds the small houses and 19th century chalets along the mountain. It will be in this setting that you’ll visit the medieval Vila Palace, built as a summer residence by the Portuguese Royalty and an excellent display of the famous Portuguese glazed tiles. The return to Lisbon will be along the famous Estoril & Cascais coast, right next to the Atlantic. Entrance fees not included.
Visit Fátima and its Sanctuary, the site where Our Lady of Fátima appeared in 1917 with your private vehicle, guide and driver. Since then, millions of pilgrims go there to pay their promises, to pray or just to feel its mystical strength. The Sanctuary Square is so big that it can only be described by numbers: it can receive simultaneously 300,000 visitors and it's twice the size of St. Peter Square in the Vatican.
Meet your driver for a private airport transfer in Lisbon. Please note drivers may or may not speak English as their sole responsibility is to transfer clients from one location to another. If you would like to have the presence of an English speaking Assistant or Guide for your transfer this can be pre-arranged upon request and would be subject to an additional supplement.
Opened in 2006 and set on a wide avenue just one kilometre from Las Ramblas’ streetlife and the Sagrada Familia Cathedral. Hotel Atlantico Madrid (4*) located on Gran Via street is perfect to offer great potential for tourism and leisure in the main street in Madrid city center. Currently decorated in a neoclassic style with tapestries, furniture, sculptures and period windows, it offers its clients top notch facilities with all the technological mod-cons. Its iconic facade in stone up to the cantilevers of the mezzanine and in artificial ornamental stone above that up to the flat roof, forms a stately impression, culminating in a French-style cupola tower from which exceptional views of Madrid can be enjoyed. In Gran Vía street that never sleeps, guests can enjoy Madrid during the day visiting the main museums and shopping, and at night, discovering the leisure in cinemas, theaters and restaurants in the area.
Hotel Britania (4*) is a genuine Art Deco Boutique Hotel in the Historic Centre of Lisbon. Located on a quiet street right alongside the cosmopolitan Avenida da Liberdade. The only hotel to remain intact until today, this hotel records the glamour of the 1940's. Everything about its design strives to reawaken the spirit of the unit without losing its original soul. The rooms conserve ample dimensions as well as the cork floor. The warm colours contrast with the elegant lines of the furniture and the luster light fittings. The recovery of the whole building is exemplary as is the case of the paintings in the bar alluding to the Portuguese overseas empire.

"Melissa Field was extremely helpful! She was courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly! She kept me updated on the status of everything and provided timely correspondence. She took ownership for any problems I had and remedied them. I had the most amazing time of my life in Iceland and Paris! I would not have experienced everything without the help of Kensington Tours."

"All of our guides were beyond fabulous! Our time in Dublin was much too short, would have loved to stay there at least one more full day. Would recommend extending this package to 15 days for any future visits. The train to Edinburgh was super! Beautiful scenery and great steak pies!"

"Overall, our tour in Spain was very enjoyable, and well planned and executed. Our private tour of the Alhambra was excellent. Virginia, tour guide for royal palace ruins outside of Cordoba, was also excellent. In Seville, we went to the Flamenco Show/dinner, and the Flamenco was outstanding!"

"My husband and I took a 3 week vacation to southern Europe and North Africa and had a great time. All the guides were very knowledgeable and bent over backwards to accommodate us. The arrangements made by Kensington went off without a hitch. This is our second trip with Kensington (we went to Peru in 2009) and we will certainly book with them again."

"Thank you for your follow up, we both loved our time in Croatia. It’s really a beautiful place, especially the coast. Your choice of hotels was great. It was an incredible view from the Bellevue hotel in Dubrovnik and the Vestibule in Split was in the best possible location. We were able to relax in our room listening to the wonderful singers in the courtyard and its central location made it so easy to walk anywhere we wanted to see with ease. "

"We just returned from a 10 day trip to Paris and Normandy. We spent three nights in Paris and then enjoyed a seven night cruise on the Seine to Normandy with AMA Waterways. The time in Paris was well spent and has piqued our interest to return for a more thorough visit. Guide Wafaa Lankey was superb in our visit to Versailles. The Seine cruise was relaxing and beautiful. So many wonderful little towns and we wished we had more time in each one to explore and enjoy.
We traveled to Croatia and Slovenia using Kensington earlier this year which was a fantastic trip."
