Day 1: Moscow

A transfer between the airport and the city or your hotel with a private vehicle, driver, and assistant is provided.

We will provide you with a letter of Invitation for your Russian Visa. Once payment has been received, the letter along with other important documents will be sent to you.

A welcome package with a city map, train tickets (if relevant), and any other touristic information that we deem you may find useful will be waiting for you upon your arrival at your first hotel on your trip.

Peter 1 Hotel is located in the historical and cultural centre of the city, within walking distance from the Red Square and the Cathedral of Christ of the Saviour. The Big Theatre, State Duma, Manezhnaya Square as well as the State Tretjakov Gallery are some of the major attractions near the property. The hotel is housed in a six-story building and was constructed in the late XIX century. In 2005-2006 the hotel was totally renovated, and today is considered to be a modern hotel of the highest quality, while effortlessly combining its historical vestiges.

Day 2: Moscow

Enjoy a full day private guided city tour of Moscow. During this tour you will get to see the panorama of the Kremlin from the Sophiskaya Embankment, Lubyanka Square, Tverskaya Street, Christ The Saviour Cathedral, New Arbat Street, The White House of Russia and Victory Park, St. Basil's Cathedral, Kremlin Walks, Lenin Mausoleum, Alexandrovsky Garden, Manezh Square, and later there will be a chance for some shopping. Tour the Kremlin, the city´s former military fortification, a palace, an armoury, the sovereign treasury, and the workplace of the Russian President. The Armoury Palace features weaponry, imperial regalia, and unique art. Entrance fees inside the Kremlin Walls and Armoury Chamber are included.

Day 3: Moscow

Novodevichy Convent was founded at the beginning of 16th century. The complex consists of 15 buildings, surmounted by golden domes. For 400 years the Novodevichy Convent was part of important historical events, connected with the names of Ivan the Terrible, Boris Godunov, Sofia, and Peter I. For several years, it was even used as a place of imprisonment for disgraced women from noble families. Visit the interesting cemetery, a charming sight, and rich in the spirit of the past hidden behind a wall in the Twentieth century inner city. Visit the Tretyakov Gallery, the largest museum of Russian art in the world. The museum represents the history of Russian art from the ancient periods. Its superb collection consists of numerous icons, paintings, sculptures, and graphics. Entrance fees to the monastery and gallery are included.

Day 4: Moscow - Suzdal

Enjoy a Russian country side drive to Sergiev Posad, a lovely provincial town of Russia whose life centred around the monastery. Explore the unique monastic ensemble of Russian Orthodoxy from the 15th to the 19th centuries, and witness a functioning monastery with 200 monks, 300 novices, and an Ecclesiastical Academy on its grounds. Here, the finest choirs of Russia can be heard at services in any of the 5 churches open to the public. A flea market in front of the Holy Gates offers souvenirs and other memorabilia. Continue on to Vladimir, which is considered part of the "Golden Ring", the name for a popular tourist route connecting ancient towns north-east of Moscow. During this tour visit three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Golden Gates, Assumption Cathedral, and St. Demetrius Cathedral. The city is also home to several award winning museums, art galleries, and theaters; a number of world-class performing groups, artists and artisans, and several first rate institutions of higher learning. Day 5: Suzdal - Moscow - St. Petersburg

Recognized as a leading museum of architecture, the town is fabulously rich in ancient cathedrals and monasteries, bell-towers and churches, and one and two-story wooden and brick buildings. The Kremlin, the Monastery of the Deposition of the Holy Robe, the Nativity Cathedral, and the Intercession Cathedral are the most popular places of interest. Suzdal is truly a town-museum distinguished for its fidelity to ancient traditions. Entrance fees to the Kremlin with Krestovaya Palata and the Intercession Monastery are included.

Day 6: St. Petersburg

Take a panoramic tour and get acquainted with the main architectural and historical monuments of St. Petersburg. You will get to drive along the world famous Nevsky Prospect and view the Monastery of Alexander Nevsky with its magnificent Trinity Cathedral and its cemetery where Dostoevsky, Tchaikovsky, and other world celebrities were buried. You will have the chance to see the Hermitage Museum and the Chamber of Curiosities. Later you will drive by the Summer Garden and stop in the Field of Mars with the eternal flame and see the Cathedral on Spilled Blood. Drive through the Square of Arts with the Palace Square with the Alexander Column, the Triumphal Arch of the general Staff building, and the Winter Palace complex. Continue to visit St. Isaac's Cathedral, the fourth largest domed cathedral in the world. The Cathedral is 102 meters high and can hold up to 12,000 people and took 40 years to construct. Day 7: St. Petersburg

Enjoy a private guided tour of the Hermitage and admire the gems of the collection. Day 8: St. Petersburg

Take a full day tour to Pushkin, originally named Tsarskoe Selo (Tsar's Village), famous for the marvelous Catherine Palace and park. The town, also known as Pushkin, in honour of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin, was the main summer residence of the royal family. The collection of the palace includes a large number of precious works of art, such as furniture, porcelain, statues, and canvases, including personal belongings of Russian emperors and members of their families. Visit one of the most remarkable interiors of Catherine Palace, the Amber Room. Your private guide will tell the story of the consturuction of Catherine Palace and about the tragic moments in the palace's history, connected with the Nazi occupation during World War II. Continue with the summer residences of the Royal family, Peterhof. The world-famous palace, fountain, and park are an outstanding landmark of Russian artistic culture of the 18th-19th centuries. After the tour you will return to your hotel. Entrance fees to Peterhof Palace are included.

  • Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $350). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure.
  • Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $350 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of 30% of program price. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to loss of 100% of program price.
  • Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
  • Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
  • Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
