The Russian capital will present itself in wonderful illumination on the "Moscow by Night" city lights tour. Afterwards you can stroll across the famous Red Square with your guide and experience Stalin’s “palaces for the people”: Moscow’s Metro stations in all their splendour and beauty.
Tour the Kremlin, the city´s former military fortification, a palace, an armoury, the sovereign treasury (Diamond Funds not included in price), and the workplace of the Russian President on a private guided tour with an English speaking guide and private driver. A transfer between the train station and the city or your hotel with a private vehicle, driver, and assistant is provided.
After breakfast you arrive in Kazan, the old Tartar capital on the banks of the Volga. You will see plenty of history here on a guided tour of the Kremlin where you will learn about the wild and often bloody relations of the Tartars, Cossacks, and Russians. Your private train resumes its journey in the evening.
In the afternoon halt in Yekaterinburg, capital of the Ural region. The town was founded by Peter the Great in 1723 and restored in 2009. It is also related to the last Russian Tsar, Nicholas the II, because himself and most of his relatives were murdered here. During the tour you will visit the newly erected Cathedral-on-the-blood, built in memorial of that tragic historical event. Back on the train you can enjoy your view of the fascinating landscapes of Western Siberia.
Today you will reach Novosibirsk, the heart of Siberia, where you will be welcomed in traditional Russian manner with bread and salt. Your city tour includes a visit to the Transsiberian monument and the mighty Ob River. After dinner, the train continues its ride to the East.
Your Private Train, by now your second home, proceeds onward over the Yenisei River through Siberia. In Krasnoyarsk - Morning arrival in Krasnoyarsk — according to writer Anton Chekhov, the most beautiful city in Siberia. The short city tour focuses on an overview of Krasnoyarsk's captivating history. The mix of old and new streets vividly illustrates how the city has grown and changed down the years. Enjoy a view of Peace Square, the city's oldest square, and the stunning vistas across the Yenisei river. Naturally, there is also a stop at the beautiful Paraskeva Pyatnitsa Chapel, the symbol of Krasnoyarsk. Back on board, your train continues on to Irkutsk
Today the train reaches Irkutsk, the capital of Eastern Siberia. During a city tour you will see beautiful Siberian wooden cottages, the new statue of Alexander III, and the lively market hall. After lunch, you will have an excursion to the open air museum "Life and Work in the Time of the Tsars", which presents the regions history in a clear and vivid manner. Spend the night in a centrally located hotel in Irkutsk.
Today you will visit a Siberian village by bus. A boat will take you across the deep waters to Port Baikal where your train awaits you. On ancient tracks, it takes you directly along the shore of Lake Baikal for several hours. Dinner is served in typical local style as a picnic on the shores of the lake (weather permitting).
Today you will be taken along a different part of the shore of the mystical Lake Baikal, and then onwards through the magnificent valley of Selenga passing by wild and lonely mountain steppes of Eastern Siberia. On the way to the Mongolian border the train will stop in Ulan Ude, where you will have a city tour. Afterwards the train departs for Mongolia.
Tsar’s Gold Train will travel onward to the Mongolian border.
In the morning you'll arrive in Ulaan Baatar. In the course of the city tour you will see the impressive Buddhist Gandan Monastry and the Lama Museum. In the evening, your tour guide will show you the best beer garden in the city. You will spend the night in a centrally located hotel in the city.
Today you'll attend a tour to Mongolian Switzerland, a must for everyone who loves nature. After breakfast, a bus trip reveals the beautiful countryside, where your lunch venue will be situated within the typical tent settlements of nomadic herdsmen, among herds of horses and shaggy yaks (wild Tibetan cattle). A Mongolian horseback riding show will be performed. In the evening your private train will travel onward to the Chinese border.
In the early morning your train halts in the middle of the Gobi Desert, some time ago one of the favorite settlements of dinosaurs. Around noon, you'll reach the Chinese border, where your Chinese special train is ready for departure. Due to the different Chinese track gauge the Russian special train cannot be used anymore from here on. The Chinese train has no Nostalgic Comfort and Bolshoi cars, only two bed or 4 bed cabins. Single occupancy is not guaranteed. You will reach China’s capital Beijing in about 16 hours.

Fourteen emperors of the Ming dynasty and ten Emperors of the Qing dynasty reigned here until 1924.
Enjoy a full day private guided tour with lunch at the Great Wall at Mutianyu located 45 miles northeast of Beijing. This section winds along lofty, cragged mountains for 1.4 miles. Construction was started in the Northern Qi Dynasty (550-577) and was restored in the early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Built mainly from granite with 8 meter walls and 5 meter wide at the top, it is notable for its 22 watchtowers. Lunch is included.

"We just returned from a 10 day trip to Paris and Normandy. We spent three nights in Paris and then enjoyed a seven night cruise on the Seine to Normandy with AMA Waterways. The time in Paris was well spent and has piqued our interest to return for a more thorough visit. Guide Wafaa Lankey was superb in our visit to Versailles. The Seine cruise was relaxing and beautiful. So many wonderful little towns and we wished we had more time in each one to explore and enjoy.
We traveled to Croatia and Slovenia using Kensington earlier this year which was a fantastic trip."
