Leaving Edinburgh this morning you will drive north to Stirling to visit the magnificent Castle perched majestically above the city. You then travel back in time taking the scenic paddle steamer along Loch Katrine, undoubtedly one of the most picturesque boat journeys in Scotland. After time at leisure for lunch, your journey will continue to the stunning west coast of Scotland. Enroute to Oban you could explore Cruachan Power Station with a train trip through the mountain.
A warm welcome awaits you at the Barcaldine Castle in the beautiful surroundings of this, Argyll’s only ancient Castle with bed & breakfast facilities, built in 1609 by “Black” Duncan Campbell and restored in 1897 by Sir Duncan Campbell 3rd Baronet of Barcaldine. Barcaldine Castle offers something truly beautiful. A Scottish Castle set on the shores of Loch Creran with breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains of Glencoe in early Spring to the golden colours of Autumn.
Take a scenic ferry journey from Oban to the magical Isle of Mull, the second largest of the Inner Hebrides and the fourth largest Scottish island. Travel to Tobermory, the largest settlement on the island. From here you can take a wonderful journey of discovery in a whale watching trip. You may be lucky and catch site of some of the wonderful wildlife which abounds on this small island.
Continue your adventure as you leave the west coast of Scotland this morning and travel eastwards towards Loch Ness, possibly Scotland's most famous Loch, known for its elusive monster. Before arriving there you will pass through Fort William and if the timings are right you would be able to take a trip on the West Coast Railway, made famous in the Harry Potter films. Visit the ruins of Urquhart Castle in their dramatic position overlooking the Loch. Or stop at the Loch ness exhibition and learn about the secrets of it or, indeed take a cruise on the loch. You might be lucky and “Nessie” will make an appearance.

Located in Dingwall, some 30 minutes from Inverness, Tulloch Castle (4*) dates from the 12th Century, when first the Bains and later the Clan Davidson laid claim to its lands. "People do not know what they are missing by not going to Romania. The landscape: beautiful, clean, untouched. The people: People exceeded friendly! Super safe. Wherever we went, we received the reception of "Welcome, welcome! You are our guest", by everyone. Food & Drink: Everything had such incredible flavor! They use only the freshest ingredients and everything is organic. Every meal was a new, exciting experience to our palettes. Architecture: The beauty, intricacy, history.
