Eilean Iarmain

Hotel Eilean Iarmain on the beautiful Isle of Skye is small and privately owned, situated on a sheltered bay in the south of Skye, with expansive views over the Sound of Sleat to the hills of Knoydart on the mainland. Their policy has been to keep the old fashioned character of the hotel intact, in order to retain its Highland charm and old world atmosphere. Tartan carpets, a golden eagle and stag antlers adorn the hall. The hotel has a 2 AA Rosette restaurant offering excellent a la carte dining, and a well-stocked bar which serves a particularly good selection of malt whiskies and local real ale. Eilean Iarmain is the headquarters of Praban na Linne, who produce 'The Gaelic Whiskies'. Adjacent to Hotel Eilean Iarmain, by the old stone pier, The Gaelic Whiskies have a small shop for whisky tasting and the purchase of their brands.
