Day 1: Barcelona
Meet your driver for a private airport transfer.
A welcome package with your vouchers, a city map, train tickets (if relevant) and any other touristic information that we deem you may find useful will be waiting for you upon your arrival at your first hotel on your trip.
A unique opportunity to find off-the-beaten track Tapas bars with your private English-speaking guide. Enjoy a wander through the back alleys and discover a hidden side of Barcelona. You will explore the Eixample district known as the Quadrat d'Or, or Golden Square, where you’ll find some of the best samples of Modernism Architecture. Check out the Old Medieval Town (or Casa Antic) and La Boquería food market just off Las Ramblas, the best place to watch Barcelona’s bustling evening life. (Food & Drinks at own expense).

Day 2: Barcelona
Take a half day walking tour following the footsteps of the legendary Architect Gaudi, with your private English-speaking guide. Walk the Barcelona of the 1900's, in the neighbourhood of " El Ensanche", discovering the temple of "La Sagrada Familia", Gracia avenue with the houses of Gaudí, and the Batlló House. Other sights to be visited are the Paseo de Gracia, and the facades of Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. (Tickets to Casa Batlló, Sagrada Familia and La Pedrera are included).

Monserrat Monastery
Day 3: Barcelona
Meet your private driver and guide for a half day tour of the Catalunya countryside en route to Montserrat. Driving through the centre of Barcelona, you'll head north through villages and beautiful countryside to the sacred Montserrat mountain range. You'll be guided through the Monastery, as well as a Renaissance Basilica from the 16th century. Here you can view the Black Madonna, the Patron Saint of Catalunya. Perched on a protruding piece of rock, the Monastery is one of Spain's most significant pilgrimage destinations. Entrance fee included.

Day 5: Lloret de Mar
Board a catamaran today and get ready for an adventure on the sea! The sails will be hoisted and you will get to enjoy the great coastal views of the stunning scenery of the Costa Brava. Once the anchor is dropped in a sheltered cove, take a dip in the azure waterse, or simply relax on deck. Meanwhile, a delicious buffet meal will be prepared for you of rice and pasta salads, a barbecue with burgers and sausages, and a refreshing fruit salad. Help yourrself to the complimentary beer, sangria and soft drinks. After two hours of anchoring, the catamaarn will head back towards home. If you prefer to have a private, chartered day on the water just speak to your Sales Advisor.

Dali Museum in Figueres
Day 6: Lloret de Mar
The Alva Park Resort & Spa is an ideal location for visiting Barcelona and Girona, the Dali Museum in Figueres, beautiful local fishing villages (such as Tossa del Mar and Cadaques - which also houses Salvador Dali's house which is now a museum) , and nearby ancient ruins (such as L'escala Empuries with Greek and Roman ruins) as well as preserved medieval countryside towns (such as the hilltop village of Pals and nearby picturesque village of Peratallada as well as Besalu which houses the oldest known Jewish baths). The Benedictine monastery atop Montserrat mountain is just under 2 hours drive away, while the Cavas Cordiniu, the well known Catalan Champagne house can be visited. The Santa Cotilde Botanical gardens are a mere ten minutes walk from the resort, while the Mar y Murta botanical gardens are in nearby Blanes. If you feel like spending some time on the water options include a private chater of a sailboat or motorboat. Glass bottomed boats leave from Fenals beach - a 2 minute walk from Alva Park resort.

VISA/PASSPORT
Spain is a party to the Schengen Agreement. As such, U.S. and Canadian citizens may enter for up to 90 days for tourist or business purposes without a visa. The passport should be valid for at least three months beyond the period of stay.

HEALTH
Health insurance is recommended. Medical facilities are good quality. We recommend that you see a health-care provider who specializes in Travel Medicine. The doctor or health-care provider will determine what vaccinations and medication you will need, depending on factors such as your health and immunization history, areas of the country you will be visiting, and planned activities. - Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $350). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure.
- Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $350 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of 30% of program price. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to loss of 100% of program price.
- Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
- Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
- Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
