Start your private half day tour with the El Prado museum. Your guide will meet you at the gallery (please see Welcome Pack for meeting point). It is used by the Spanish Crown in Official Receptions, Presentation of Credentials and Official Events, such as State Meetings. Its rooms are full of artistic works belonging to the Royal Family.

Depart to Deia, stopping off at Valldemossa on the way. One of the most picturesque places in Mallorca, Valldemosa is worth a stop to visit the ancient monastery where the Polish composer Frederic Chopin and French writer George Sand lived. Continue up to the viewpoint of Na Foradada, to enjoy one of the best views on the Northwest coast of Mallorca, crossing the spectacular valley before reaching Deiá, with the towering mountains of the 'Serra de Tramuntana' as its backdrop. Because of its tranquility and the extraordinary beauty of its landscape, from the nineteenth century many artists, musicians and writers have chosen Deia as their residence, including the English writer Robert Graves (1895-1985) and American painter and archaeologist William Waldren (1924-2003), founder of the Archaeological Museum in Deia. The town of Deia in Majorca is known as a haven for artists and art-lovers. Consider indulging your inner artist by taking a painting, ceramics or sculpture class during your stay. La Residencia's Artist in Residence offers daily 90 minute art classes. A prominent British artist, as well as a qualified lecturer, has also produced a number of documentaries. If you are interested in being introduced to ceramics, consider an hour long demonstration by local ceramicist Joanna Kuhne. Hands on demonstrations and workshops are also available, depending on your preference.
La Residencia also has a Sculptor in Residence and there is the option of taking private or group classes which cover areas such as lino cutting, sculpture and silver clay modeling.
Alternatively, if your creative tendency leans more towards the gastronomic side of things, consider a private cooking class with La Residencia's chef and learn how to cook a delicious Spanish recipe. What better way to enjoy a couple of hours or the full day than on a moped as you explore the island in true Mediterranean style! Guests of La Residencia have the option of hiring two fabulous vespas decorated personally by the hotels' Resident Artist. The 125cc mopeds are fitted with all accessories including baskets that can carry a delicious picnic. There are three designated routes that have been pre-planned if you would like some suggestions of a route to take. 1. Sunset at Son Marroig - this route takes you to a great viewing point to watch the sunset on the Mediterranean Sea from Son Marroig and is just at 3km away from La Residencia, on the way to Valldemossa. 2. Sóller; Located 10km from the hotel, Sóller is the biggest town in the north coast of the Island. Many charming places can be seen during your visit: enjoy a fantastic view of its bay from the lighthouse, overtake the little tram that connects Sóller with its Port, admire the lemon and orange trees that lay all along the valley… and if you feel hungry, many different restaurants can be found across the valley. 3. The Gothic Quarter is Barcelona's historical and political centre. Explore the gothic quarter by foot with a Professional English speaking Guide where you will discover not only its streets, squares and hidden corners but the charms of its architecture. The tour commences with the Roman Walls and its towers dating back from the 4th century. Next up is the 15th century Casa de la Pia Almoina and The Gothic Cathedral, where you will have the opportunity to admire the impressive 15th century cloister. Park Güell is a garden complex with architectural elements situated on the hill of El Carmel in the Gràcia district of Barcelona and a must-see for every visitor to Barcelona. It was designed by famous architect Antoni Gaudí and built in the years 1900 to 1914. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Works of Antoni Gaudí". The park is open daily from 10:00AM, but closing times vary depending on the time of year (normally around 9PM). Admission is free.
How to reach Park Guell: Metro stop "Lesseps" (Green Line, L3) Exit the metro and follow the street signposts to the park. Due to park Guell's location and size, we recommend you schedule at least half a day for a visit.

Wherever we went, we received the reception of "Welcome, welcome! You are our guest", by everyone. Food & Drink: Everything had such incredible flavor! "Thank you for your follow up, we both loved our time in Croatia. It’s really a beautiful place, especially the coast. Our time in Dubrovnik and Split were awesome, in hind sight we both wished we would have went back to Split from Plitvice Lakes rather than carry on to Zagreb. We both found Split much more appealing and would have definitely preferred to spend another night there rather than Zagreb. We’ll know for next time! Your choice of hotels was great. It was an incredible view from the Bellevue hotel in Dubrovnik and the Vestibule in Split was in the best possible location. We were able to relax in our room listening to the wonderful singers in the courtyard and its central location made it so easy to walk anywhere we wanted to see with ease. "
