The Hotel Helvétie (3*) is a witness of the development of tourism in Montreux, opened in 1865, the Helvétie features lots of old-world charm. The rooms have high ceilings and are equipped with period furniture. The hotel offers panoramic views from its 6th-floor terrace. In front of the Casino and at 200 meters from the lake, the hotel is located in the heart of Montreux. It is an ideal start to the main touristical attractions of the region: among many others, the promenade by the lake, the Chillon Castle, the Rochers-de-Naye peaks, the cruises on the lake and the Jazz Festival in July.
The Hotel Helvétie has 62 rooms, all different from each other. They meet the expectations of the businessman, as well as those of tourists wishing to spend a weekend of relaxation and discovery on the Swiss Riviera. The nearby shops and restaurants, as well as the Casino de Montreux, makes it the ideal place for a pleasant stay.
The Standard Rooms are perfectly equipped with a shower/tub combination, minibar, Sat TV, radio, telephone, alarm Clock, hair dryer, and Internet access.
The Café Helvétie is located on the 1st floor and has a balcony on the Avenue du Casino street side. You can also relax and have a drink in the lounge area. Swiss and international cuisine as well as a wide range of selected drinks are served in the elegant restaurant of the Hotel Helvétie.
Situated in the centre of Montreux, opposite the Casino Barrière and 200 metres from Lake Geneva, the Hotel Helvetie offers panoramic views from its 6th-floor terrace. Chillon Castle is 20 minutes walk along the lake.
