Day 2: Lucerne

Meet your guide for a private adventure to Mount Pilatus with a boat ride on Lake Lucerne. You will start your trip with a leisurely cruise on the crystal-clear Lake Lucerne to Alpnachstad. Here you will board the cogwheel train and ascend the steepest rack railway in the world to Pilatus Kulm (7000ft high). Topside Mt. Pilatus you have time to walk up to the vista point and admire the breath-taking panorama view over the Swiss Alps and Lucerne. On your descent, you will board an aerial cable car to Fraenkmuentegg, where you will change to smaller cable cars and sweep over pine forests and mountain meadows to the village of Kriens. Return to Lucerne by private transfer. First class Golden Round Trip tickets to Mount Pilatus, private guide, boat trip, cogwheel train, cable car and private transfer are included.

Day 3: Lucerne - Interlaken

Meet your English speaking driver for a private train station transfer.

Enjoy a transfer by train from Lucerne to Interlaken. Travel time is approximately 2 hours.

A transfer between the train station and your hotel is provided with a private vehicle and driver.

The center of Interlaken can't be thought of without horse and carriage rides! Enjoy a peaceful 1-hour ride in a carriage and enjoy an all new experience.

Day 4: Interlaken

This self-guided excursion will take you to the very heart of the Bernese Alps - the mighty Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, which form an imposing nucleus of the Alpine Region. Walk to Interlaken Ost station and take the train into the Waterfall Valley of Lauterbrunnen where you change and board the train to Jungfraujoch. The travelling time from Interlaken to the Jungfraujoch is approx. 2 ½ hours each way. At Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe, you can visit the Ice Palace and the Sphinx Terraces - reached by lift affording a breathtaking view of the Aletsch Glacier, the largest river of ice in Europe. Refreshment or a meal can be obtained at the Jungfraujoch Restaurant "Top of Europe". After approx. 2 hours you will return to the mountaineering village of Grindelwald, the winter sports, and mountaineering center. Enjoy the view on the mighty mountains, before returning to Interlaken where you'll independently transfer back to your hotel. Tickets to Mt. Jungfraujoch and seat reservation from Kleine Scheidegg – Jungfraujoch and back are included.

Day 5: Interlaken - Zermatt

A transfer between the train station and your hotel is provided with a private vehicle and driver.

Enjoy a transfer by train from Interlaken to Zermatt. Travel time is approximately 2 hours with 2 changes in Spiez and Visp.

A complimentary car transfer will be provided by your hotel for the transfer between the train station and your hotel.

In the afternoon, enjoy some time on your own to relax.

Day 6: Zermatt

A private English-speaking guide will accompany you as you reach the highest altitude mountain railway station in Europe. Here you will be mesmerized by the breathtaking panorama view of Italian, French and Swiss alpine giants from an altitude of 3,883 metres. This is your starting point for a two and a half hour hike across the glacier to climb your first 4,000-metre mountain, the Breithorn. Do you think you can see the Mediterranean? Quite possibly! Also, Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps, appears almost near enough to touch! Remember - the air is thin at this altitude so don't try to do anything too quickly.

Day 7: Zermatt - Lausanne

A complimentary car transfer will be provided by your hotel for the transfer between the train station and your hotel.

Enjoy a train ride from Zermatt to Lausanne. Change in Visp.

Meet your private guide for a 3-hour private tour with wine tasting in the Lavaux Vineyards, the most famous wine-growing region in Western Switzerland. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Lavaux Vineyard Terraces stretch for about 30 kilometers along the northern shores of Lake Geneva, in the Vaud region. They cover the lower slopes of the mountainside between the villages and the lake, and their origins trace back to the 11th century. Here you can take a stroll or a hike on the paths to get acquainted with this area that is so much loved by many artists and royalties. Enjoy a private visit to a local winery and learn more about the wine production, from fostering the grapes to putting corks on the bottles. Day 9: Lausanne - Geneva

Meet your guide for a private walking tour inspired by chocolate and cheese. During this gastronomic tour, you will stop at many of Geneva’s top chocolate and cheese boutique artisan shops to discover some of the finest Swiss chocolate and cheese specialties. Among the marvels created by the chocolatiers are delicious traditional Pavés de Genève (Geneva paving stones), which make for ideal gifts to take home to your family and friends. Your tour begins on the shores of Lake Leman along Geneva's right bank featuring stunning views of the Alps beyond and the towering Jet d'Eau – the world's tallest fountain. Continue along Geneva's park-like promenades and across the Rhone River into Geneva's ritzy shopping and banking district.  From there, the tour moves onto the Old Town which presents itself like a Gothic maze of cobblestone streets.  The Old Town is home to many historic structures including Saint Peter’s Cathedral, the Town Hall, Halle de Rive and the Place Neuve.   • Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $350). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure.
  • Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $350 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of 30% of program price. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to loss of 100% of program price.
  • Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
  • Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
  • Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
