Day 2: Calgary
The Calgary Stampede Kickoff Parade is a two-and-a-half-mile smile. A fitting way to kick off The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, the Parade begins with the World Champion Calgary Stampede Showband. A dynamic ribbon of pageantry follows, featuring beautiful floats, bands, riders, celebrities and cultural entries. Parade Marshals have included Hollywood legends and humanitarian icons. Enjoy the show as the excitement builds for the events to come.
Enjoy the city centre with it many shops -particularly along Stephen Avenue Walk which was officially declared a Canadian Historic site in 2002. Interesting street-level boutiques developed out of modernized late 19th century and early 20th century buildings line the walk with trendy cafés, art houses and local pubs filling in the gaps making it an aresting place to stroll through for a while. Alternatively, if you feel like doing a day excursion, consider a trip to the badlands where you can visit Horseshoe Canyon, the world renowned Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology, and North Dinosaur Trail. A day trip learning about the native people's history and the UNESCO World Heritage Site - Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, one of the world's oldest, largest, and best preserved buffalo jump sites known to exist is also a possibility. Day 3: Calgary
Meet your driver for a transfer to and from Stampede Park
Today you'll have ticketed access (1:30pm-4:00pm) to the famous Stampede Rodeo, featuring bull riding, saddlebronc, bareback, tie down roping, steer wrestling, ladies barrel racing and First Nations hoop dancer. Feel the incredible energy of the crowd as you saddle up for "the richest ride in rodeo". Your Lazy S Stampede 1-day ticket package features a reserved Rodeo seat in the exclusive "Restaurant in the Seat Deck", a three-course lunch including non-alcoholic beverages, access to the Lazy S Lounge, 1 souvenir program, and event ticket admit to Stampede Park.
This evening you'll have ticketed access (7:45pm-11:15pm) to the nightly Stampede Evening Show, comprised of the GMC Rangeland Derby Chuckwagon Races, and the TransAlta Grandstand Evening Show featuring The Young Canadians, and an exciting display of fireworks! Get ready for some fun. Day 4: Calgary
Learn about the geology, history and wildlife of the Banff National Park while exploring the town of Banff and its surroundings. Depart downtown Calgary and travel west through the rolling foothills with the Canadian Rocky Mountains in the horizon. Upon arrival into Banff you will visit such points as Bow Falls, Surprise Corner, and the Hoodoo rock formations, before a stop at the Banff Gondola for a scenic ride. At the top of Sulphur Mountain spectacular views await from the 360 degree observation deck. Enjoy an afternoon Lake Cruise on Lake Minnewanka, before returning to Banff. Wander around Banff in the afternoon prior to an early evening return to Calgary.

Trip Terms & Conditions
- Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price). The balance is due 120 days prior to departure.
- Cancellations of confirmed bookings 121 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus 20% of the program price and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare or hotel deposits, event ticket). 76-120 days will be subject to loss of 75% of program price. 75 days or less will be subject to loss of 100% of program price.
- Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
- Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
- Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
