Depart your hotel with your local driver/guide and travel through the rolling farm lands of PEI to the Land of Anne. Your tour will include stops at the Green Gables House, the inspiration for the Anne stories, the house where Montgomery was born and Silverbush, the farm home where she was married, and Dalvay House, the model for the White Sands Hotel in the books and movies. A stop will also be made at the PEI Preserve Company, renowned for its Island-made jams and preserves before returning to your hotel.
The family classic Anne of Green Gables relives the poignant and funny story of Anne Shirley, the spunky, red-headed orphan who comes to Prince Edward Island hoping to find a happy home. Anne of Green Gables -The Musical™ is the original musical adapted from the novel "Anne of Green Gables" by Lucy Maud Montgomery. It has been running for 48 consecutive seasons at The Charlottetown Festival, Confederation Centre of the Arts since 1965. A seat has been secured for your attendance.
Following breakfast your journey today takes you to the North Shore of PEI. Your first visit of the day is at Greenwich National Park where you will discover an ecological experience like no other. This National Park is famed for its over-sized dune system that is sure to please as an amazing element of natural beauty of the island's north shore. From Greenwich it’s off to PEI’s only winery Rossignol Winery, where you will sample a variety of wines influenced by the special maritime climate. Included with the tasting is a complete tour of this working winery.
