Upon arrival a representative of Bettles Lodge will greet you. On the way to Bettles Lodge, you will receive a brief tour of the village of Bettles. During your stay at Bettles Lodge, all meals are included.
The remainder of your day is spent at leisure. Bettles is one of the best places in all of Alaska to see the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis). You can often catch them right outside the lodge, dancing across the sky, with the lodge being located in the Auroral Band, the highest aurora activity in the Northern hemisphere.
Enjoy a multitude of optional winter activities today, with your day spent at leisure. The following activities are offered at the lodge (payable on the spot): dog mushing, cross country skiing, or snow shoeing.Of course, if you have brought some snowshoes or cross country ski gear with you, you are more than welcome to explore the surroundings independently.Once again, be sure to keep your sights to the sky for another opportunity this evening to see the Aurora Borealis!

Depending on the departure time, there may be free time this morning. Departure from lodge is somewhere between 9am and 12:00 noon. Flight time back to Fairbanks is approx. 1 hour.
