Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge

Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge is an Alaska eco lodge completely surrounded by Kenai Fjords National Park. Situated on the shores of a protected lagoon in full view of Pedersen Glacier, Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge offers an unprecedented way for Alaska travelers to experience Kenai Fjords National Park. The Glacier Lodge and guest cabins reside within the Native-owned, 1,700 acre Pedersen Lagoon Wildlife Sanctuary.

  • CabinCabin

These private cabins feature on-demand heat and electricity as well as full bath amenities. A network of boardwalks connect the cabins, providing a comfortable walkway for guests and protecting the environment. In addition to these creature comforts, the unique and breathtaking location of this wilderness lodge is another highlight of the cabins. Guest cabins were designed to be minimally visible from the adjacent Pedersen Lagoon while still offering spectacular views from within. Built with the surrounding wilderness in mind, guests need not leave the comforts of their private cabin to soak in a sense of place; the immensity of the Alaskan landscape is just outside the cabin window.

  • DiningDining

Regular shipments of fresh produce, meat, seafood and dairy selections allow the chef and staff to creatively accommodate guest dietary restrictions. A buffet breakfast starts the morning, with hot and cold options, an array of fresh fruits, freshly baked muffins or scones - even homemade granola. Lunchtime brings hot soups and sandwiches for guests at the lodge, while the all-day kayaking and exploring groups will pack a lunch to bring along, tucked neatly into a reusable bag. After a long day of kayaking, canoeing and exploring, bring your appetite and quench your thirst during the appetizer hour. Late in the afternoon staff will step behind the bar and pour a cold glass of beer or lovely chardonnay for you to enjoy as you snack on appetizers and share stories of the day’s adventures. Gather with new friends and neighbors around tables in the dining room for a four-course meal that often features fresh seafood from the area, exquisitely prepared meats and hearty side dishes. Homemade desserts are a favorite.

Simply exploring this natural wonder is a favorite way for guests to enjoy quiet time. The rocky beach along Aialik Bay is an excellent spot for skipping rocks and taking a long walk. Rock your cares away deckside, overlooking Pedersen Lagoon and Glacier, while playful otters and harbor seals keep watch from the protected waters. Inside the Lodge, a warm wood-burning fireplace keeps the lounge area cozy, and a telescope brings far away wonders up close for more thorough inspection. Enjoy the collection of local history, flora, wildlife and Native history books in the library, or settle into a comfortable couch and read a book of your own. Guided activities include kayaking, canoeing, hiking, and boating.
