Today is a full day spent relaxingly at sea, as you sail onwards toward your first port-of-call, Cozumel. If you're feeling lucky, make your way to the onboard casino, where there is always plenty of action.
Cozumel is an island and seaport in the Caribbean Sea off the eastern coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. The Maya are believed to have first settled Cozumel by the early part of the 1st millennium AD. Nowadays, Cozumel is a tourist destination for its balnearios, scuba diving, and snorkeling. Other water activities include para-sailing, kitesurfing, and a tourist submarine. There are also two dolphinariums.
Upon arrival at the port, you'll be met by your private guide and board a passenger ferry for a 45 minute ride to Playa del Carmen, where you will depart with a private driver for a guided tour of Tulum. It's the site of a pre-Columbian Maya walled city. You'll find the ruins to be perched atop 12m cliffs along the Caribbean Sea. Tulum was one of the final cities to be built and inhabited by the Mayan civilization, at its height from the 13th-15th century. Disease brought by Spanish settlers is considered to cause of its demise. At the end of your tour, you'll transfer to the beach club of Ana y Jose hotel for a farewell lunch. Next, transfer back to Playa del Carmen for your ferry transfer to Cozumel pier.
Roatán is a hilly, tropical island, protected by a great coral reef that provides fine diving. 50km (30 miles) off the Caribbean coast of Honduras lies the exotic archipelago of the Bay Islands. Consisting of three major islands (Guanaja, Roatan and Utila) and several smaller islands, the Bay Islands have a history that spans the ancient Mayan civilization, early Spanish exploration, colonial buccaneers and the British Empire.
George Town is the heart of the Cayman Islands financial industry, with over 600 banks located there. It also has cruise ship facilities, a cargo dock, a Hard Rock Cafe, and several shopping plazas. George Town, as well as the rest of Grand Cayman, is served by nearby Owen Roberts International Airport.
Falmouth is the chief town and capital of the parish of Trelawny in Jamaica. A port town, it is situated on Jamaica's north coast 18 miles east of Montego Bay. It is noted for being one of the Caribbean’s best-preserved Georgian towns. The town was meticulously planned from the start, with wide streets in a regular grid, adequate water supply, and public buildings. It even had piped water before New York City. Falmouth has a number of interesting historic buildings in the Jamaican Georgian architectural style, with the Falmouth Heritage Renewal organization taking interest in their preservation.
Today is your final day at sea, spent sailing back to Fort Lauderdale. Join some of your cruise friends in the lounge, or relax in the onboard spa. The day is yours.
This morning you'll arrive back to Fort Lauderdale, where you will disembark from your ship and bid farewell to your fellow cruisemates.
