The Hotel Castelar was a popular stopping point for Spanish-language literary stars during Argentina's golden years as an intellectual center in the 1930s. The former room of playwright Federico García Lorca is preserved as a kitschy minimuseum. The dining area was once a confitería (cafe) as culturally important as the Café Tortoni. The Castelar's spa in the hotel's basement, free for guests, is enormous and built in the Turkish style.
The hotel has 150 rooms distributed amoung 10 stories. They are all stylish, classy and elegantly decorated. Smoking and non-smoking rooms available. All rooms include: air-conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi service, telephone, cable tv, mini-bar, safe, daily paper, and hair dryer.
Enjoy an exquisite meal at Castelar Hotel's onsite restaurant.
Enjoy a swim in the Roman-style pool or relax at the Spa providing natural treatments, health improvement and stress reduction.
