The recently discovered ancient tunnels of Buenos Aires are one of the city’s best kept secrets. Enjoy a private half day city tour including a visit of these ancient passages and get to know Buenos Aires from the ground up! After being met at your hotel by your private vehicle, driver and English speaking guide, you’ll be brought to Plaza de Mayo, the city’s founding site and genuine starting point of Buenos Aires’ urban development. Next is San Telmo, a former enclave for local aristocracy. This charming colonial district, with its cobbled streets, has many artists' studios and is one of the trendiest neighborhoods of the city. Also in San Telmo lies a recently unearthed treasure: the ancient subterranean tunnels. The construction of tunnels started in the colonial era, and continued well into the 19th century. From ancient times, many myths have been created around the tunnels: people said they witnessed secret encounters, disappearances, murders or even political conspiracies.

Enjoy visiting one of these tunnels, a part of a 3,000 square meter labyrinth below the streets of San Telmo, made up of a long corridor with a vaulted ceiling and display cabinets exhibiting many items and utensils recovered during the excavation. Other areas that are included in your tour include La Boca, (which was strongly shaped by the working class Italian immigrants, with its make shift houses made from scrap materials found in local shipyards), Puerto Madero - Buenos Aires’ latest and most sophisticated neighborhood, and La Recoleta, where a short stop is made at the gorgeous Plaza San Martín, the Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar, (the city’s second oldest church), and the celebrated Recoleta Cemetery, an imposing labyrinth of ornate graves and mausoleums where some of the most important characters of Argentina’s political and cultural life (including Eva Peron) are buried. The last stop on the tour is at the area known as Palermo Woods. Next to the woods lie the splendid palaces built by the wealthy classes in the early 20th century to rival with Paris. Having gained an insightful experience of the city, you will be brought back to your hotel.

Tonight, you will enjoy a Tango Show and dinner at El Querandi. You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the Tango Show, on a private vehicle with driver.

Since 1867, this big old house has been established in the historic center of the City. In 1920 it was founded as a bar and then, in 1992 restored; it is now considered by the Museum of the City of Buenos Aires as a “Living Evidence of the Civic Memory” and as a “Place of Tourist Interest” by the National Tourist Secretary. Its capacity for two hundred people, seated in individual tables, combined with its wreathed columns, boisserie and deep shaped wood, creates a romantic and intimate atmosphere. There are thirteen artists on scene, including four musicians (bandoneón, piano, violin and double bass), six tango dancers, and three singers. This electric show starts at 10 pm and lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes. A la carte menu: Cold and hot starters; more than twenty varieties for the main dish. “Finca Flichman” wines, beverages and mineral water. Dessert, coffee and a final toast with champagne.

This tour shows us diverse panoramic view points through which we can get an idea of the building industry and demographic growth of this unique city. It lasts around an hour during which the guide will give us a brief explanation of Ushuaia’s background, its urban development and the changes occurred throughout times. The final stop of the tour is in front of the "Maritime Museum of Ushuaia" located in the building of the former Prison of Ushuaia (or Re-offenders Prison of Tierra del Fuego). The prison, was closed down in 1947, later declared a National Historic Monument by the National Congress in April 1997. Nowadays, the Argentine Navy and the Maritime Museum of Ushuaia are recovering its facilities for visitors. You can find a variety of features including naval models collections, the history of the discovery of Antarctica and several other aspects such as
southern fauna, gold seekers, first settlers, life in the prison and, most important of all – the expeditions and research under development.

Partake in a half day private tour with your own vehicle, driver and guide to explore the Tierra del Fuego National Park, situated 11 km from Ushuaia. The park was established in 1960 with the intention of protecting the southernmost portion of the sub Antarctic forest and is made up of 63000 hectares. Unlike many other parks, it combines the ocean, forests and mountains. The biological richness of the Tierra del Fuego Island with its beautiful scenery is simply stunning. You can find animals such as red foxes, cauquenes, ducks, Patagonian wood peckers and more than 90 species of birds that are part of the Fuegian fauna, as well as beavers and rabbits, which were introduced to the island by colonizers. The forest is formed by lengas, guindos, ñires and valleys of peat and lichens. Ensenada Bay, Lake Roca and Lapataia Bay (the end of the Pan-American Highway that connects Alaska and Tierra del Fuego) give color to this unique place where we can still find reminders of the ancestral inhabitants: the yámanas. At the end of the tour you will be brought back to the pier.

Enjoy a two to three hour shared boat trip along the Beagle Channel and see Ushuaia from a different perspective. Leaving the local harbor, you can enjoy the navigation in a sailboat or a catamaran along the channel and admire the sight of the mountain range that surrounds the city. Isla de los lobos, and Isla de los Pájaros in the Bridges Archipelago, are good spots for watching sea lions, cormorants, albatrosses, skuas, petrels and sea gulls. Another interesting part of the trip is the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, the silent witness of the Monte Cervantes wreckage in 1930.

Your private driver and guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby to take you on a full day guided excursion to Perito Moreno Glacier, one of Argentina's prime touristic attractions. The 30 km (19 mi) long glacier, is one of 48 glaciers fed by the Southern Patagonian Ice Field located in the Andes system shared with Chile, it is the world's third largest reserve of fresh water and one of only three Patagonian glaciers that are not retreating.

You will travel about about 2 hours to reach the Glaciers National Park and from the beginning you will see this trip has pleasant surprises! Already in the outskirts of El Calafate, you can see the Argentine Lake with its Round Bay populated with an important variety of birds such as the black neck swan, flamencos, duck steams, gallaretas, the cauquén and coirones. You will enter about 26 km into the Glaciers National Park where you will observe the arboreal vegetation formed by ñires, sour cherries and lengas. As well as some flowers of diverse colors like the outstanding “notro” with its intense red colour.

A large visitor centre at the site features a walking circuit which allows views of different faces and the surface of the glacier. There is also a restaurant at the site, if you feel like stopping and having some lunch (not included). Throughout the day your guide will explain the general features of the glacier and give specific details of Glacier Perito Moreno's flora and fauna, and its particular formation.

After an amazing day in the outdoors you will return to your hotel in El Calafate

Nestled in the core of the Los Glaciares National Park, Estancia Cristina unveils its history and its natural environment. Outdoor activities, high Patagonian cuisine and multiple panoramic vantage points are combined into a stay that is second to none. Its privileged location offers the best land access to the Upsala Glacier and the continental ice fields and turns it into a unique haven.

Board a luxurious catamaran which leaves from Paraje de la Cruz, 40 kilometers from El Calafate, at the Punta Bandera harbor at 7:45am to go to the Estancia Cristina. Enjoy the views as the boat sails amid ice floes alongside impressive landscapes located off the western shores of the Upsala Glacier. One of the most beautiful views of the glacier is its large ice flows floating adrift to the will of the wind along the Northern Arm and across Lake Argentino. The wind, the sun and the rain give them their unique shape. After a tour in the surrounding area, discover the history of the Argentinian ranch of Estancia Cristina, vantage points of the glacier, and the local flora and fauna before having lunch. Chef Lorena Papasergio has created a cuisine style that mingles regional flavors with signature cuisine, featuring the best Argentinean meat, Patagonian lamb and tasty smoked cheese.

After lunch (not included in tour cost),  you can discover other nooks of this particular ranch. The scientific base of the Institute of Patagonian Ice - el Instituto del Hielo Continental Patagónico Argentino, the Upsala, Upsala Glacier, Murallón Glacier, Cono Glacier and Nido de Cóndores (Condors nest) refuge are also visited. At sunset, the tour returns to the Estancia harbor in order to head for Puerto Bandera once again. This excursion takes all day and finishes about 7:45 pm.

You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the border crossing at Cerro Castillo.  You will be required to change vehicles before entering Chile.

Meet your new driver and guide and travel to Punta Arenas, Chile. Travel time is approximately 6 hours.

On the day prior to the flight, you will be met by a Guide and Representative who will give you a short description about your adventure to the Antartica which you will embark on tomorrow. This will be held at 8:00 pm at the 'Shakleton Bar', part of Jose Nogueira Hotel in Punta Arenas.

Clothing recommended to be worn for this trip include:

You will be transfered from hotel this morning to Punta Arenas Airport to board a DAP plane with the destination of King George Island (Antarctica). You'll get to fly over the Magellan Strait, Tierra del Fuego Island, Darwin Mountain Range, the mythical Cape Horn and the Drake Passage. Finally, you'll arrive at King George Island, the gateway to the white continent, where most of the Antarctic scientific bases are located.

Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed by an Antarctica-expert tour guide, who will take you on a tour visiting 'Villa Las Estrellas', the first settlement inhabited by civilians, as well as taking you to the Drake Passage area, where you'll get to observe a colony of different seals along the beach.

Enjoy lunch or a snack, depending on the place and time of arrival.

Take in the awe inspiring sights as you are brought on a zodiac boat to Ardley Island to visit some penguin colonies before comtinuing on to Collins glacier.

You'll get to spend a total of 5hrs exploring King George Island today.

Relax on your flight back to Punta Arenas later today.

Upon arrival into Punta Arenas airport you will be met and transfered to your hotel in the city.

After being picked up by your driver and guide at Santiago airport, you'll get a sense of the history of the colonial neighborhoods to the modernity of the new financial center also known as “Sanhattan” on your tour. We will begin by the city's old residential area, passing by beautiful residences that today are part of the Barrio Universitario (university area). Our trip continues to the historical and financial City Center. We stop by the main highlights: La Moneda government palace, the Main Square and its surrounding buildings. We drive along the green Parque Forestal, where we can admire the stunning building of the Fine Arts museum. We continue the tour visiting the bohemian Bellavista neighborhood and  visit San Cristóbal Hill where we have an unique view of the city. From here, you'll proceed towards Barrio El Golf to look around the most spectacular and modern area in the city, where many embassies  and Headquarters of the most important Chilean and foreign companies are located .At the end of the tour you'll be returned to the airport.
