Cristal Samaña - Hotel de Sal

The Cristal Samaña Hotel is located a short distance from the Salar de Uyuni. This newly opend hotel was constructed based on the principles of Feng Shui.

Its architecture is in the shape of a coca leaf shape, which reflects energy and balance. The walls, floors,furnishings and the entire hotel’s structure are completely made of salt! The rooms are decorated with elements of the Aymara astrology carved in salt on the walls. The design of the Crystal Samaña Hotel harmonizes the landscape. The bedrooms are decorated with arches carved on salt and with Aymará astrology’s engraving, which are big influence to the human being. As the hotel is located in a place where there is the biggest solar activity in the world, it was adopted a solar energy system to achieve some comfort levels, as the heating and the supply of hot water.
