You will especially enjoy the cosmopolitan influence in Paraty, dotting the town with some of the best artists, writers, and chefs in Brazil. Sao Paulo is the economic engine of South America, but it has a beautiful colonial history, a downtown that is great for walking around, and a municipal market that will leave you hungry for more. Leave the urban landscape behind and enter the national park at Foz do Iguacu, to see one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world.
Meet your personal driver and guide for an airport transfer in Rio de Janeiro.
Begin a half day private guided tour by jeep starting with the statue of Christ the Redeemer located on the Corcovado mountain. Then pass through Paineiras road, in order to reach Afonso Vizeu Square, situated at the pleasant Boa Vista High. From here, you will enter into the heart of the exuberant Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world, and stop (15 minutes estimated) at "Little Cascade", a landmark of the forest which offers a small souvenir shop, a place to rest and a restaurant. You will be introduced to the interesting history of the Tijuca Forest and the importance of the Atlantic Forest to the Brazilian ecology and its fauna and flora.
The tour then continues, passing by the Chapel Mayrink, where you'll have the opportunity of stretching your legs for a walk of approximately 30 minutes on an easy trail, in which both the botanical and ecological features and their relation to the ecosystem will be highlighted. Your jeep will be waiting at the end of the trail to take you out of the National Park where you will pass through "Loneliness Dam" and "Chinese View". Here a breathtaking view of Rio offers a wonderful photo opportunity. From here, the tour will continue, passing by "Emperor's Table", where the Brazilian Imperial family used to enjoy pleasant picnics. Admire the views on the return trip back to Rio as you pass by "Monkeys' Waterfall".
This tour in Downtown Rio de Janeiro will take you back to the times when Rio was the capital of the country. The historical center is rich in cultural attractions, architecture of many different churches, public buildings and squares - Brazilian history was written in this region. The tour begins at Cinelândia, in a square where several attractions such as the Municipal Theater, National Museum of Fine Arts, National Library, Pedro Ernesto´s Palace (House of Aldermen), among others are situated. Continue riding in the main downtown avenues such as Beira Mar and Primeiro de Março. Along the way, ride by the Palace of Justice, The Imperial Path, XV Square, Tiradente´s Palace (House of Deputies) and many churches built in the 18th century. There will be a stop for pictures and explanations along the way. Afterwards, you will reach Candelária Church, where Rio de Janeiro´s main avenues (Rio Branco and Presidente Vargas) and the financial center of the city meet. The tour continues and on the way, pass by Tiradentes Square, The Presbyterian Cathedral (the only church built in gothic style) and Carioca Street (with it´s characteristic colonial houses). After that, you will reach Rio de Janeiro Metropolitan Cathedral. Close by, is the neighbourhood of Lapa, a traditional bohemian corner of Rio, illustrated by it´s famous archeduct. Visit the amazing Selarón Stairways, a declaration of love to Rio built by a Chilean artist. Make your return, passing by the Public Path (first leisure area built in Rio), to Cinelandia, the starting and ending point of your tour.

Different from the other colonial cities of Brazil, the architecture of Paraty has character, originality and definition forming a harmonious monument to the XVIII century. Paraty today is a Historic National Monument as declared by UNESCO. The tour has includes a guide that will tell you about legends and history of the last century, visiting churches, museum, and old houses. The tour is perfect for taking pictures and videos.

Depart for your round trip by motor boat through Paraty Mirim. Your meeting point with environmental monitor at Paraty Mirim beach is at 9:00 am and you will make your crossing by an inflatable boat (Zodiac) until you reach the fisherman village of Cruzeiro in Saco do Mamangua. The duration is approximately 40 minutes. Trekking will begin through the Atlantic rainforest until you reach the top of the mountain. The level of trekking is difficult and the approximate length of the trek is 2 hours. Upon arrival on the mountain, you will have time to rest, admire the secenery and take some pictures.
You will then head back to Cruzeiro Beach in time for a relaxing swim. Return by inflatable boat (Zodiac) until you reach Paraty Murim, arriving approximately at 4:00 pm.

Enjoy a six hour private jeep tour inside the National Park of Serra da Bocaina visiting several waterfalls, distilleries of cachaça, the famous Gold trail and other attractions. This tour is an excellent opportunity to have a direct contact with the flora and fauna of the region and all its preserved biodiversity.
Departure is from your hotel and the tour begins in the direction of the National Park of Serra da Bocaina visiting the preserved area of Gold Trail which has a interesting exposition with pictures and history. The tour also visits Murycana's farm and its Distillery of Cachaça situated beside a little furniture museum. Then depart for the Tobogã’s Waterfall, a pleasant spot for taking pictures and the Tarzã Waterfall, where you can enjoy a pleasant swim.
After the swim, you will visit the distillery of Cachaça Engenho D’Ouro, where you can enjoy tastings, observe the interesting fabrication of the drink and you can also purchase it directly. Next stop is at Pedra’s Branca waterfall, one of the biggest of the region, a wonderful place to take pictures and enjoy swimming. On your return back to Paraty, visit the Exposition of Bromeliads where you can view more than 300 species of flowering plants.
At the end of your tour you will be brought back to your hotel by jeep.

Everyone associated with our time in Iguazu Falls was helpful, more than pleasant and always on time. I thought originally that we could manage such a trip on our own. But when we got there and saw the hassles we would have run into with the visas, border crossings, transportation and such, I realized that going the way we did was the wise choice. "Wow! All my life, I have planned and organized our trips, requiring considerable research and contact time--not to mention, most significantly, all the stress involved at each destination to make sure all connections are made. This time, I put it in the hands of some extremely capable people--and sat back and relaxed. And relax I did! We were booked into full-service, quality accommodations at all times; our transport and tour guidance were all on an individual, private basis, except where public transportation was in order; and--most valuable to us--we were met and assisted through all travel/hotel connections. We truly felt pampered. At one point, in fact, we had a problem with an immigration paper that we had lost, and a Kensington representative personally accompanied us through the whole process of replacing it--even though we were officially "on our own" that day. That's what makes the difference--the responsibility and accountability toward clients. Kudos to Kensington and to our representative, Brandi Merchant. We are already planning more travel and see no reason to look any further than to an agency that has earned our trust. "
