Hotel das Cataratas is the only hotel located within the Iguassu National Park, and just a two minute stroll from the world famous Iguassu Falls. As the only hotel within the national park, guests are able to enjoy exclusive access to the falls each morning before the park opens. The hotel has 193 rooms with 15 suites. The rooms and suites are divided where there are 52 bedrooms and 10 suites in the main building, and 64 bedrooms and a junior suite in the garden wing house. Each room features paintings of the local flora and fauna by Brazilian artist, Ludmilla de Montes and traditional azulejos (painted tiles) that were exclusively designed for the hotel. As well, guests can enjoy views of lush tropical gardens from their private balcony.
Adjacent to the pool, Ipê Grill serves delicious buffet breakfast. During dinner, the restaurant's popular "gaucho" style barbecue showcases tender meats that are accommpanied by hot side dishes. As well, there is an extensive buffet that offers a wide selection of salads, local and international dishes, and classic Brazilian desserts.
Itaipu Restaurant is a fine dining restaurant that offers a blend of Brazilian-international fusion dishes. The exquisite flavour combinations have made Itaipu a popular destination for all guests. Guests can take a set inside the restaurant or request a table on the veranda and dine in glorious surroundings, overlooking the lush hotel grounds that stretch all the way to the falls.
Guests can start their evening with a cooling caipirinha at Bar Tarobá, a cosy, sociable meeting place for drinks. Cocktail in hand, guests can take a seat on the veranda, surrounded by the lush rainforest, and watch the magnificent sunset over Iguassu National Park. Later in the evening, guests can sit back and enjoy sultry sounds and Brazilian beats, with live music every evening between 7 and 11pm.
