The Pousada do Rio Mutum - Pantanal Lodge is located in the municipal district of Barão de Melgaço, one of the most beautiful regions of Mato Grosso´s Pantanal. There are 22 cotrages that are like apartments around the park area and a restuarant with varied regional menu. In this ecological paradise the sound of the birds at dawn, the enchantment of the waters, the blue sky, the breathtaking sunset, horseback riding through the forests and wetlands, trails totally immersed in nature, flights of birds, Brazilian otters playing by the river, and alligators enjoying the sun will give guests an unique and unforgettable moments.
The Pantanal of Mato Grosso represents an area of more than 100.000 square-kilometers of nearly untouched wilderness and natural life, which, during the rainy season (Nov. until April) is to a great part covered by water. Within this vast green sea there remain only few "islands" where people can find the isolated Fazendas and Pousadas. On the Fazendas locals are breeding cattle. The word Pousada literally translated means "resting place". The Pousada do Rio Mutum has been constructed according to international standards taking into account in particular the demands of modern eco-tourism and the interests of sport-fishing. It is situated between the lakes Sia Mariana and Chacorore within one of the most beautiful regions of the Pantanal of Mato Grosso.
Pousada do Mutum offers you: 16 fully acclimatized apartments with private veranda and bath with hot and cold water. Includes all meals daily, accommodation, tours, transfers. Package does not include: Beverages during meals, Fishing equipment. Extras not mentioned in the program.
Enjoy delicious dishes served for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The chef only uses the freshest and most local ingredients to give the guests a taste of regional dishes.
A swimming pool with bar and a souvenir shop which also offers toilet-articles and various other things. There is also excursions on horse back or with boats to observe the exuberant wildlife of the Pantanal Sports facilities (volleyball, etc.), birding tours and fishing from March to October.
