Gondwana Lodge

Situated in the 54 000 hectare, malaria free Sanbona Private Reserve in the Little Karoo, is Gondwana Lodge. This exclusive retreat resembles a typical thatched Karoo homestead and overlooks Bellair Dam with endless views over the plains, the Anysberg Mountains and beyond. Gondwana caters for children of all ages with the “Kids on Safari” program, a children’s playroom with TV, and a special child friendly outdoor area. Other lodge facilities include a lounge with a fireplace and satellite TV, a relaxation retreat with two therapy rooms (additional charge) and a steam room, outdoor dining boma, swimming pool with a shallow area, a gift boutique shop, and Wi-Fi.

Gondwana’s suites accommodate a maximum of two adults and one child per suite. Six ground floor suites include a private deck and the six upstairs suites include a private balcony or viewing deck. Suites feature en suite bathrooms with shower, free-standing bath, and twin basins, air-conditioning, in-floor heating, private mini bar, and tea and coffee facilities.

Guests can dine in the spacious dining room or at the outdoor dining boma.

One of the true joys of Sanbona is the freedom to do nothing at all in absolute luxury, but for those who choose to venture beyond the comfort of the Lodge, a world of new experiences awaits... game drives, nature walks, birdwatching, star gazing, rock art, rock formations & features, fauna & flora, and spa treatments are just some of the options. There is also a wonderful "Kids on Safari" program at the lodge.
