Day 3: Sydney

Your first stop this morning is to Featherdale Wildlife Park where you will meet native Australian animals; here you can get up close and personal, stroke a koala and hand-feed kangaroos, wallabies and emus. Departing from Featherdale, set out to the Blue Mountains. Visit a range of stunning outlooks of the Jamison Valley offering beautiful views. Where possible this will be away from the crowds of tours that visit the mountains each day.

Continuing on to Eaglehawk Lookout, a remote point away from the crowds that affords excellent views of the famous Three Sisters. Whilst the Blue Mountains features so much more than this natural attraction you can’t help but admire the beauty of this amazing rock formation. The character of the Three Sisters changes throughout the day and throughout the seasons as the sunlight brings out the magnificent colors. Here your guide will discuss the legends behind this famous rock formation and time available for you to take some great photos.

Arrive at your lunch venue - the historic Boiler House Cafe at the stunning Hydro Majestic Property. With spectacular views enjoy a relaxing two course cafe style lunch. All diets are catered for (excluding kosher meals). Beverages can be purchased at your own expense from the Bar.

The afternoon is spent visiting a selection of lookouts. Once you clap your eyes on the view from Govetts Leap you’ll know why it’s one of the most famous lookouts in Australia. The magnificent waterfall drops a whopping 590 feet to the base of the cliff. If you’re not mesmerized by the dancing waves of water spray, you’ll be transfixed by the sweeping views down the valley to the Grose Wilderness at a beautiful remote lookout location. The last stop is the delightful Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens where you will stop to enjoy the sweeping views across to Sydney and enjoy a glass of sparkling wine or orange juice before travelling down the Bells Line of Road to arrive back at your hotel approximately 4.30 - 5.00pm.

Please note: Guests arriving on April 1st,2018 or thereafter will visit Euroka Clearing in lieu of Featherdale Wildlife Park. As well, the tour may change slightly depending on weather conditions.

This is our 6th Tour with Kensington. Needless to say we love every tour that we took. Kerry Brown was a very wonderful agent who attended to every one of our requests with enthusiasm and dedication. We really "loved " her.

We enjoyed our tour very much!

  • Caren M — October 23, 2017 — Australia & Pacific

Kensington Tours did a great job in setting up our itinerary for a trip to Australia. We were wowed by the Alamanda Resort hotel in Palm Cove, Queensland. We were also very impressed with all but one of the drivers who transported us. The company that led the trip out to the Great Barrier Reef was outstanding.

Can't think of a trip where everything went so well. Every transfer, every tour, both hotels, exceeded expectations. Warm, friendly, knowledgeable people from Renee through all we met on the ground in Cairns, Port Douglas and Mossman.

Colin Rowe was fabulous. He showed real concern for our comfort and was always there to answer our questions. He is very knowledgeable and a real asset to your organization. We would ask for him by name if we travel again. The meals were delightful, and the tour guides were not only well versed in the culture and surroundings, but offered delightful personal stories during the ride that enhanced our trip. Our accommodations were excellent - both the Four Points Sheraton in Perth and the Radisson Blu in Sydney were first class. Clean and very comfortable. Overall, a wonderful trip!

Our Kensington destination expert, Kate Perrier, did an extraordinary job of putting together a custom itinerary for my family. My family and I travelled nearly 11,000 miles to get to Australia and got to see everything we were most interested in thanks to Kate's expert planning!

Our Kensington destination expert, Kate Perrier, did an extraordinary job of putting together a custom itinerary for my family. We wanted a wildlife (koalas, kangaroos, wallabies) focus and Kate suggested a multi day stay on Kangaroo Island. I hadn't even heard of Kangaroo Island but researched it on the internet after her suggestion and realized it was the perfect Australian destination for us. Our stay there was amazing - she arranged two full day tours that were superb. My family and I traveled nearly 11,000 miles to get to Australia and got to see everything we were most interested in thanks to Kate's expert planning!
