Stunning Sydney aglitter at night; the majestic profile of Uluru; the enveloping closeness of the northeastern rainforests; more picturesque sights than your camera has room for… this is Australia like it was meant to be seen. Come along with us on this fascinating voyage that merges urban sophistication with all-natural wonderment.

We start in Sydney, Australia’s largest city and star of a thousand travel-magazine spreads. You’ll get to know it a little better with the help of a private guide, driver and a vintage 1964 Holden sedan as you embark on a tour of The Rocks, a stylish inner-city enclave, before hitting three of Sydney’s stunning beaches – Bronte, Tamarama, and Bondi – and visiting Sydney Harbour National Park. (The best part: access to a secluded beach with an incredible view of the skyline and a free afternoon to explore on your own.) Later, meet kangaroos, koalas, and wombats at Featherdale Wildlife Park before exploring the picturesque Blue Mountains region, home to the Kings Tableland, Wentworth Falls, and the famous Three Sisters rock formation.

From Sydney, the tour moves inland to Australia’s famed Red Centre, the bastion of mighty Uluru (Ayers Rock). Inside Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, you’ll get your first glimpse of this majestic UNESCO-protected landmark and the 36 Kata Tjuta domes (nicknamed the Olga Rocks) on an illuminating tour of Walpa Gorge. Catching the first rays of the morning sun over Uluru is one of Australia’s quintessential experiences, and you’ll get to see it yourself on a guided morning tour of the massive monolith. Later, compare the morning view with an evening one as part of the “A Night at Field of Light” experience, where you’ll be treated to a twilight performance of Aboriginal culture, a three-course bush tucker-inspired dinner, and more as the sun sets. ... Next, we move north to the edge of the Coral Sea and Palm Cove, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. Your first introduction to his magical stretch of Australia’s northern coast is aboard a catamaran, which ferries you through Upolu Cay and the Great Barrier Reef. Later near Cape Tribulation, you’ll get even closer to nature on a privately guided tour of Daintree National Park, one of the most biodiverse regions on earth. (Keep an eye peeled for cassowaries, rat-kangaroos, ringtail possum, and all sorts of colorful butterflies.) Deep inside the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, you’ll spot all kinds of exotic flora and fauna with the help of expert guides, and even sit down to a delicious rainforest-inspired lunch before returning to your hotel and points beyond.

Day 2: Sydney

Your day begins at 9:30 am when you will be greeted by your local tour guide and his vintage 1964 holden, the most popular and iconic luxury car ever made in Australia. After a scenic drive around The Rocks – Sydney’s first borough – you will arrive at your first destination. With your guides insider knowledge, you will have the chance to discover a thriving inner-city enclave like a local, where Aboriginal murals and street art decorate laneways lined with coffee shops and turn-of-the-century terrace houses. Get ready for an education on everything from architecture to soaring house prices, local lifestyle and Aboriginal culture. As no trip to Sydney would be complete without a visit to its iconic beaches you will be taken to a sprawling seaside cemetery, a site that provides breathtaking views of the ancient sandstone coastline. From there, you will be whisked off to three of Sydney’s most iconic beaches: Bronte, Tamarama, and world-famous Bondi. Ask your guide to wind down the windows so that you can breathe the fresh eucalyptus as you weave through the hills of Sydney's most exclusive suburbs’ in the midst of the Sydney Harbour National Park. Led down a secret street, you will emerge at your final destination: a remote beach with panoramic views of the harbor and city skyline. Here, you can choose to be left to your own devices, or be returned to your hotel.

From modern monuments to historic districts with excellent shopping in between, Sydney boasts a variety of activities and attractions for visitors to enjoy, including Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Tower, and the Art Gallery of New South Wales. During your free time, consider exploring the Harbour area with its many cafes, gift shops and gorgeous waterfront, or perhaps head to the Queen Victoria Building to shop at a few high-end designer boutiques. At Bondi Beach, whisk the shores barefoot, enjoying the soft golden sands beneath your toes. With so much to see and do, you’re sure to enjoy your time at leisure in sensational Sydney.

Day 3: Sydney

Discover the best of the Blue Mountains on this small group tour that will bring you to preeminent sites including Kings Tableland, Wentworth Falls and the famed Three Sisters, all while keeping an eye out for the abundant wildlife that calls the region home. After a hotel pick-up, you’ll drive through the historic Rocks precinct – Australia’s first European settlement – passing convict-built cottages and Australia’s first church before crossing Sydney Harbour Bridge. Following a short westbound drive, you’ll arrive at Featherdale Wildlife Park to get up-close with a range of native animals including kangaroos, koalas, wallabies and wombats. Carrying onward, you’ll enter the Blue Mountains National Park, first stopping at a secluded clearing to enjoy morning tea. Roam the area in search of wild kangaroos and birdlife and then set off for magnificent Kings Tableland to bask in the incredible views overlooking the Jamison Valley. Break for lunch at a local café in the heart of the Blue Mountains, then track to Wentworth Falls, a beautiful waterfall found between Blue Mountains National Park and Kanangra-Boyd National Park. You will be guided down a well-worn path towards the falls, taking in excellent views along the way and learning about the geological conditions that spawned the Blue Mountains. Next you’ll hop into an awaiting vehicle and skirt around cliffs, driving towards the township of Katoomba. At Eagle Hawk lookout you will see the famous Three Sisters rock formation, marveling at the views of the Jamison Valley and then visit Narrowneck Plateau to enjoy a few more outstanding vantage points. Having discovered the essential highlights of the Blue Mountains, you’ll return to Sydney, arriving at your hotel at approximately 5:00 pm.
