Meet your private driver and guide, and set out on a full day tour to familiarize yourself with London’s signature sights. In order to avoid the crowds later in the day, you’ll first make your way to the majestic Tower of London, heading through London’s historic center, passing Pudding Lane where the Great Fire of London started in 1666. Upon arrival, you’ll visit the Tower, an 11th century castle initiated by William the Conqueror, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home of the priceless Crown Jewels. From there, head through the City of London, home to the Bank of London and the London Stock Exchange, arriving to St. Paul’s Cathedral for a visit of England’s largest church, used for Sir Winston Churchill’s funeral, and the Queen’s 2002 Golden Jubilee. Pause midday in historic Covent Garden Market for an opportunity to spot street performers, unique souvenirs, and lunch at leisure, with many deli and bakery stalls to choose from. Afterward, make your way to view London’s iconic Buckingham Palace, the residence of the Queen, before continuing through Westminster, renowned home of Hyde Park, the Houses of Parliament with Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus, Bond Street, and more.  Wrap up your tour as you take to the skies for a magnificent vantage point over London, celebrating your day with fast track entry for a nearly 30-minute ride on the world famous The London Eye observation wheel.

Day 3: London

In a small group of no more than six, set out on a unique, guided walking tour for lovers of Elizabethan London and fans of William Shakespeare alike, the world's greatest playwright. This tour is not meant to be a literary tour per se, but rather to uncover the social history of the Elizabethan times and Shakespeare’s remarkable role as actor, playwright and theatrical producer. That said, you'll certainly learn more about what Shakespeare wrote over the course of the half-day tour. Experience the famous Ferryman’s Seat, site of the Rose Theater, the site of the original Globe Theater, and the ruins of Winchester Palace. You'll walk by the original Clink Prison, admire the Southwark Cathedral with its beautiful Shakespeare stained glass window, and tour the splendid Globe Theater built by Sam Wanamaker. Let your personable guide show you lanes walked by the great Bard, church pews where he worshiped, and pubs where he drank with fellow actors, as you peel back the onion on Elizabethan London. Please note, this tour operates with a minimum of 2 guests, and a maximum of 6.

Working with Danny S. was a real pleasure. He was lovely, very professional and knowledgeable. Our trip was so enjoyable and stress free. Hotels were perfect, restaurants booked by Kensington were authentic and the food was excellent. The flamenco show was so much fun and the venue was relaxing and intimate. Our guides were prompt, smart and passionate about their country. A really wonderful group of individuals. It was very reassuring to know we always had a person on the ground to call if necessary. This was an A+ trip and we will always have wonderful memories of a beautiful country and it’s warm and welcoming citizens. My heartfelt thanks to Danny and all others who planned a perfect trip on our behalf. We look forward to another trip in 2019!

  • Marilyn K. — September 20, 2018 — Europe

Our guides were knowledgeable and kind beyond expectation, and were extremely amenable to our requests. The tour expert was very patient and knowledgeable as well, and truly had our travel wishes in mind when creating our trip to Poland. It was a wonderful and amazing life changing experience!

  • Irene Y. — September 13, 2018 — Europe

This trip was just what we were looking for, a private tour of England, Scotland and Dublin. Julie C. was awesome! She and I worked together to figure out what my family and I wanted to do. I could have never done it without her! The cars/guides were waiting at the airport for us. Everyone associated with Kensington Tours was so helpful and kind. The location of the 3 hotels, we stayed in, were amazing!! We walked everywhere! Each tour, we were scheduled for, went smoothly, and on time. The tour guides were so smart and informative about the places we went. I didn't stand in one hotel concierge line. My tickets and vouchers were printed out and in hand ahead of time. Julie even researched and scheduled horseback riding in the Dublin Mountains, which they hadn't handled before. What a highlight that was!! This trip was everything I asked for. I will be using Kensington Tours and Julie again!!

  • Lesley M. — September 04, 2018 — Europe

We thoroughly enjoyed our entire trip to Greece. Everything went as planned, our hotels met and exceeded our expectations. The tour guides were all marvelous - knowledgeable, personal, patient, organized and pleasant to be with. And our sunset cruise in Santorini was superb - first class catamaran, crew and their other passengers were great to be with. We met a couple who also were frequent Kensington Tours clients and we all agreed you are our top choice when it comes to travel tours. Thank you for another unforgettable trip!

  • Ronnie B. — May 29, 2018 — Europe

The entire tour was well planed. Jason and our European guides and drivers were wonderful and often went above and beyond what was expected. Everything was flawlessly executed and we would not hesitate to use Kensington again.

  • Priya K. — June 11, 2018 — Europe

Everything went smoothly! From the pickups and drop offs from the airport and the tour guides being prompt. Will definitely be using Kensington for our next Trip!

  • Brooke R — May 14, 2018 — Europe

Kensington did a phenomenal job planning our vacation. The logistics of getting from place to place was incredibly well planned. The tour guides were knowledgeable, fun and tailored our experience based on our interests. Hotel accommodations were incredible and Patrick answering our questions, provided information on several occasions and ensured our that all our requests were met. This was our second trip with Kensington and we will without a doubt utilize their services again!

  • Tracey M. — May 11, 2018 — Europe
