France may not have invented wine, but it’s arguable that nowhere else on Earth has gone so far to perfect it. And to oenophiles, “Bordeaux” and “Burgundy” are magic words. Best known for their spectacular reds, sophisticated whites, and terroir that makes the flavor of each vineyard’s product distinct from its neighbors, the charming towns and magnificent landscapes of these regions are almost worth coming for on their own. And then, of course, there’s Paris; the inimitable “City of Light” that’s home to so many of the country’s pleasures and fascinating history. All that’s missing is you.

It begins in Paris with a privately guided half-day tour of the city and its famous landmarks — including Place de la Concorde, the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe, and the iconic Eiffel Tower — before stepping into the 17th-century wine cellar for a private tasting with its owner. In Bordeaux, explore the UNESCO-protected town of Saint-Émilion and refresh yourself with three wine-tasting stops along the way. Later, devote a full day to the extraordinary wines of the fabled Médoc region with the help of a private driver. The scene then shifts to Beaune, the capital of Burgundy wine country, where you’ll embark on a half-day private tour of scenic wine regions like Pommard, Volnay, and Puligny-Montrachet and be treated to a tasting at a Chassagne-Montrachet chateau. Your last full day in Beaune is one to remember, with a full-day private tour of Côte de Beaune, Côte de Nuits, and Hautes Côtes, complete with tastings in gorgeous chateaus and the services of your very own driver. ... Day 2: Paris

After being picked up at your hotel, enjoy exploring Paris with your private luxury vehicle and English speaking Guide. The origin of Paris began at the Cite Island (Ile de la Cite) some 2000 years ago. Here is a suggestion on how to spend the time; discover the Marais District and the Latin Quarter before heading to the Notre Dame Cathedral with your guide. Then explore the Place de la Concorde, Avenue des Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe amongst other main sites within the city. Ensure enough time remains for a visit to the Eiffel tower, the highlight of your day today. At the end of your tour, you will be either dropped at your hotel or left in a central location within the city, depending on your schedule. Includes entrance tickets to the third floor of the Eiffel tower.

Today you will have a vehicle and driver at your disposal to enjoy a private wine tasting with Lionel Michelin, wine expert and vintages collector. He will host you in his 17th-century cellar, a mythical site where the famous wine merchant Jean-Baptiste Besse settled in the early 30’s. This cellar has received amateurs wine enthusiasts from all over the world for over 50 years including Hemingway and Ustinov. Revisions were made to Lionel Michelin's property in 2004, inspired by De Vinis Illustribus. The final product was an amazing collaboration of history and passion, transforming this special location into a wine connoisseurs dream. Guests can visit a 2nd level cellar thanks to stairs visible from the street. The cellar on the first basement is a place where the greatest bottles are stored. The second basement cellar, which was built in 1636, is especially dedicated to old vintage wines ranging over more than a century. Your exclusive wine tasting and lunch will be conducted in English by the owner Lionel Michelin himself. He will share with you his passion for enology and analyze and comment on each wine: region, varietal, characteristics, evolution and harmony with served dishes. The food (lunch) is selected according to the wines including top-quality gourmet products such as foie gras, cooked meats, smoked salmon, fine cheese, pastries. Return back to your hotel.

  • Kimberly M — September 15, 2017 — Europe

Fiona was fabulous and planned a dream vacation for us from start to finish. Our guides and tours were all very personable, knowledgeable, and comfortable. Our drivers were very punctual and professional. Our itinerary and tickets kept us knowing exactly where and when we needed to be somewhere. The weather, food and hotels were amazing. We truly had our dream vacation and now need a beach vacation to recuperate from the fast paced vacation we just returned from! Would recommend your agency to anyone! Thank You!

  • David B. — September 22, 2017 — Europe

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our trip! Thank you for the attention to detail and comprehensive planning!

  • Cleo M. — September 22, 2017 — Europe

Excellent guidance and assistance from Rachel Cook in your Delaware office and great guides/drivers. The hotel was nicely situated and everything went smoothly - we thank you! It was our first time on such a tour and we would like to try it again.

  • Suzanne A. — September 22, 2017 — Europe

We had an amazing experience with Kensington! I loved our specialist Garret. He was incredibly helpful! We also really loved our guide in Cape Town.

  • Kyran D — September 15, 2017 — Europe

Our tour expert Rachel Cooke was outstanding! She handled all inquiries and requests with great professionalism and patience. The location of our hotels were optimal for touring and easy access to trains and metro. Tour guides Marion for the Latin Quarter, Frederick the Louvre, Bruno Mont St Michel and Melanie for the beaches of Normandy were all very knowledgeable and delightful to be with!

  • Donna O — September 15, 2017 — Europe

Andrew was an amazing guide starting in Inverness! And Debbie was great for our walking tour in Edinburgh. We could not be happier! We learned so much about Scotland and enjoyed every minute of our trip.

  • Robert Goodby — August 14, 2017 — Europe

This was one of the best trips we've ever taken. Everything worked as planned, someone was always waiting to greet us at each transfer point, and the guides in Moscow and St. Petersburg were absolutely first-rate: knowledgeable, friendly, fluent in English, and very helpful. Our conversations with them about Russian life and history were an unexpected bonus to what was already a highly educational and informative itinerary.

  • Peter Stephanos — August 14, 2017 — Europe

Kensington was top notch. Our transfers were always on-time and courteous/professional. When there was a labor strike in Athens, they rescheduled our cancelled ferry and booked us on a flight. We had no idea until they called and said we had been booked on the flight. So helpful that we didn't ever have to stress!

  • Barbara Schulman — August 14, 2017 — Europe

We had an absolutely WONDERFUL trip; Everything was perfectly planned by Kensington; all drivers were professional and the city guides were excellent, educated in the history of their city and enjoyable to be with. Upon hearing that we were artists, one guide even changed her tour to include local artworks that we would not have known about , and we were thrilled. We have never had a tour planned personally for the 2 of us, and were delighted with the results. All contacts with our planner, Jason Susinski, were timely and professional. We will definitely travel with Kensington again.

  • Nancy Silvio — August 14, 2017 — Europe

This was my first experience with a totally guided tour. It was wonderful to not have to worry about anything, it was all well planned out. What we did see was wonderful, important and the guides were knowledgeable and kind. When we expressed interest in going bowling in Berlin he made sure we found the best place!! Anything was possible.
