Dotted with enchanting mountain villages and blessed with some of the most spellbinding views on a continent already full of them, the Alps are simply magical. The alpine regions of Switzerland, Germany, and France compose a community unto themselves, often having more in common with one another than with their national cousins closer to sea level. Journey up into the clouds with us and get introduced to this fascinating kingdom of crystal-clear lakes, roaring waterfalls, impenetrable forests, and sophisticated cities for an altitude adjustment like no other.

Start in Zürich, Switzerland’s cultural and financial capital, with a private half-day walking tour to take in the sights of this stunning lakeside city, particularly the stained-glass windows of the Fraumünster, designed by Marc Chagall. Next, ride to Lucerne by train and embark on a private walking tour of this impossibly scenic town, including stops at the Lion Monument (a rock relief memorial for Swiss Guards killed during the French Revolution), the iconic 14th-century Chapel Bridge, and other stirring sights. Later, take a leisurely cruise around Lake Lucerne and journey up the world’s steepest track railway to the peak of Mount Pilatus before coming back down to earth via cable car. Next, take in the stunning Rhine Falls en route to Baiersbronn. From there, it’s a short drive to Strasbourg, the gateway to France’s Alsace region, where you’ll stroll streets lined with Gothic churches and timber-frame houses on a private walking tour, then sample some of the region’s famous wines at a private wine tasting and tour a 12th-century castle. Last stop: Paris. Walk the storied streets of the “City of Light” with a private guide, explore the opulent Palace of Versailles, and lose yourself in the galleries of the fabled Louvre. ... • Kimberly M — September 15, 2017 — Europe

Fiona was fabulous and planned a dream vacation for us from start to finish. Our guides and tours were all very personable, knowledgeable, and comfortable. Our drivers were very punctual and professional. Our itinerary and tickets kept us knowing exactly where and when we needed to be somewhere. The weather, food and hotels were amazing. We truly had our dream vacation and now need a beach vacation to recuperate from the fast paced vacation we just returned from! Would recommend your agency to anyone! Thank You!

  • David B. — September 22, 2017 — Europe

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our trip! Thank you for the attention to detail and comprehensive planning!

  • Cleo M. — September 22, 2017 — Europe

Excellent guidance and assistance from Rachel Cook in your Delaware office and great guides/drivers. The hotel was nicely situated and everything went smoothly - we thank you! It was our first time on such a tour and we would like to try it again.

  • Suzanne A. — September 22, 2017 — Europe

We had an amazing experience with Kensington! I loved our specialist Garret. He was incredibly helpful! We also really loved our guide in Cape Town.

  • Kyran D — September 15, 2017 — Europe

Our tour expert Rachel Cooke was outstanding! She handled all inquiries and requests with great professionalism and patience. The location of our hotels were optimal for touring and easy access to trains and metro. Tour guides Marion for the Latin Quarter, Frederick the Louvre, Bruno Mont St Michel and Melanie for the beaches of Normandy were all very knowledgeable and delightful to be with!

  • Donna O — September 15, 2017 — Europe

Andrew was an amazing guide starting in Inverness! And Debbie was great for our walking tour in Edinburgh. We could not be happier! We learned so much about Scotland and enjoyed every minute of our trip.

  • Robert Goodby — August 14, 2017 — Europe

This was one of the best trips we've ever taken. Everything worked as planned, someone was always waiting to greet us at each transfer point, and the guides in Moscow and St. Petersburg were absolutely first-rate: knowledgeable, friendly, fluent in English, and very helpful. Our conversations with them about Russian life and history were an unexpected bonus to what was already a highly educational and informative itinerary.

  • Peter Stephanos — August 14, 2017 — Europe

Kensington was top notch. Our transfers were always on-time and courteous/professional. When there was a labor strike in Athens, they rescheduled our cancelled ferry and booked us on a flight. We had no idea until they called and said we had been booked on the flight. So helpful that we didn't ever have to stress!

  • Barbara Schulman — August 14, 2017 — Europe

We had an absolutely WONDERFUL trip; Everything was perfectly planned by Kensington; all drivers were professional and the city guides were excellent, educated in the history of their city and enjoyable to be with. Upon hearing that we were artists, one guide even changed her tour to include local artworks that we would not have known about , and we were thrilled. We have never had a tour planned personally for the 2 of us, and were delighted with the results. All contacts with our planner, Jason Susinski, were timely and professional. We will definitely travel with Kensington again.

  • Nancy Silvio — August 14, 2017 — Europe

This was my first experience with a totally guided tour. It was wonderful to not have to worry about anything, it was all well planned out. What we did see was wonderful, important and the guides were knowledgeable and kind. When we expressed interest in going bowling in Berlin he made sure we found the best place!! Anything was possible.
