Ancient myths, ageless landmarks, stunning sunsets, and unbelievable seaside views. Small wonder that Greece is one of the world’s favorite places to visit. Join us on this picture-perfect tour of Athens and the Cyclades and see what others miss.

It all starts in Athens, the cradle of Western civilization. Accompanied by your private guide and driver, you’ll tour the modern city center, pass Hadrian’s Arch and visit two must-see stops – the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathenaic Stadium, site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896 – before arriving at Athens’ most enduring landmark: the Acropolis. Explore this UNESCO-protected overlook high above the city and stroll its many Golden Age monuments, including the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, and the sun-bleached Parthenon, as well as the modern Acropolis Museum. Later, head out on a private half-day tour of scenic Cape Sounion, home to both the majestic Temple of Poseidon and some of the most stunning panoramas in all of Greece.

Next, bid farewell to the mainland and board a high-speed ferry for stylish Mykonos, the star of the Cyclades. First, get to know the charming fishing village that has become one of the world’s hottest hotspots on a private walking tour through the winding alleys of Alefkandra (“Little Venice”) and past the iconic windmills of Kato Myli with a stop at Panagia Paraportiani, the island’s most famous whitewashed church. West of Mykonos lies tiny Delos, one of the holiest sites in Greece. Here, you’ll explore the island’s vast treasure trove of ancient sites (including the Temple of Apollo, the Sanctuary of Artemis, the famed Terrace of Lions, and examples of architecture from across the centuries) with a private guide and driver. ... A frequent stop for travelers eager to escape the bustle of Mykonos and Santorini, Paros is the perfect spot to catch one’s breath. Just don’t get too attached to it; the ancient Oliarus cave on nearby Antiparos will take your breath away all over again. With a private guide, you’ll descend deep into the island’s fascinating limestone cavern to view its dazzling stalactites and stalagmites and to hear the stories of the rebels and renegades who used it as a refuge from Alexander the Great in the fourth century BC.

The gorgeous old houses are perched precariously on the edge of the sea, and the neighborhood is a popular area for local artists to set up their workshops. The windmills were used in the past to grind wheat, and provide a scenic vista overlooking Little Venice and the sea below. Upon arrival, join your private guide on a walking tour of Antiparos. Stroll through quaint streets, and admire the island's small Venetian Fortress, an example of the fortified settlements established in the Cyclades during the Latin period of the 13th-16th centuries. Its construction dates to the mid-15th century when the Venetian Giovanni Loredano decided to marry Mary Sommaripa of Antiparos. Continue with a visit to the most famous sight of the island - its Cave. This interesting natural wonder is full of stalactites and stalagmites which form different shapes. As findings from the Geometric and Classical Era have shown, it was initially used as a refuge and then as worship place. Macedonian generals also used the cave in the 4th century B.C. as a refuge after their conspiracy against Alexander the Great. At the end of the tour take a ferry back to the Paros Island.

  • Mary W — May 05, 2019 — Europe

My Kensington Tours Destination Expert, Jessica Clements, was so helpful and patient as we planned our trip. She was so helpful in recommending things based on her experience and so patient as our dates changed, and we had more ideas about what we wanted to see. Once we got to Greece, our pickups and transfers were seamless. Our tour guides, drivers and destination greeters were all so warm and welcoming. The hotels were fantastic in terms of service and location. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I have already recommended Kensington to several friends.

  • Rita B — April 24, 2019 — Europe

Our entire visit to Poland was outstanding, first-class. Booking the tour with Karolina Stringer made it so easy. All I did was tell her the places we needed to visit and what was the feel we wanted for the visit. Not only did we want to see the landmarks of Poland, but we also wanted time to walk the squares, sit in the cafes, take public transportation. Everyone we encountered in Poland was top-notch. Our guide for Gdansk was Ewelina Danecka. This amazing woman enchanted us with her knowledge and her joy in sharing her country with us. On our first day, I requested we reverse the first two days of our plan and she was totally flexible. I gave her the name of a very obscure town and she and the driver found it! Ewelina acted as my interpreter with the parish priests of the two towns we specifically needed to visit for our family research. She and our driver stayed with us an extra two hours after they were scheduled to be done for the evening and because of their generosity we saw Wawel Castle, which wasn't on our schedule, we loved it! Our three days with Ewelina were so intense and emotional that we felt we were leaving family when we said goodbye to her. The Hanza Hotel was wonderful, overlooking the riverfront. Warsaw was waiting for us and so was Agnieszka Tomazuk. Agnieszka was wonderful. We were specifically interested to visit the Warsaw ghetto and the war monuments commemorating the valor of the Poles during the WW2. And we were very interested to know about the Polish life under communism. I specifically requested a "good" Chopin concert. We didn't get good, we got a brilliant concert given by Agnieszka Przemyk-Bryla, in the Szuster Palace, not some impersonal concert hall. Her passion for the music combined with her technical ability made that evening unforgettable. The Polonia Palace Hotel was very nice, though not quite within walking distance to the Warsaw town square. On the way to Krakow we stopped at Jasna Gora to see the Madonna. We were guided and educated by one of the nuns of the Monastery. Totally awesome. We could not have done Krakow without our guide, Marta Bochenek. She made sure we knew not just what we were getting into when we went into the Wieliczka Salt Mine, but how to get out and meet up with her, since there were not one, but two exits from the mine. And when we went to Auschwitz, Marta very wisely said that she would be waiting if we decided not to go to the Birkenau portion of the concentration camp visit. Respectfully and reverently done as it was, Auschwitz was so powerful, we decided not to go on to Birkenau. I'm so glad we did go to Auschwitz. The Sheraton Krakow was very fine. Our first cup of "real" coffee in Poland. Most of the hotels' coffee is made from Nescafe or some instant coffee. The coffee at the Sheraton Krakow was really whole roasted coffee. Kensington Tours is contracting with the first class tour agency in Poland. We could not be more satisfied with our entire experience. The mood of our tour exactly matched the attitude I relayed to Karolina at the very beginning of our planning. This trip felt like it was planned just for us. This is our second time using Kensington Tours. Like the first trip, this was OUR tour.

  • Marilyn R — April 22, 2019 — Europe

The absolute best trip to Europe we have ever taken. The entire process was flawless: best hotels, best guides, etc. This experience was new to us, but now it’s the only when I will travel! Kensington tours was the best. A truly 5-star experience from beginning to the end!

  • Sharayu T — May 13, 2019 — Europe

The Eastern Europe trip was fabulous. Everything went smoothly. The guides and drivers were excellent. We enjoyed the trip immensely. To begin with, our arrival at Budapest train station and meeting up with Mr. Sandor went flawlessly. We were a little anxious as the main train station was closed, but when we got down at Budapest Kelenfold, it was such a relief to see Mr. Sandor waiting for us. All our guides, Sandor, Bozena, Agnieszka, and Sandra were very knowledgeable, friendly, and adaptable. They intermixed personal stories and anecdotes that made understanding the history and culture at each place very gratifying. The accommodations were comfortable, and the locations were perfect. Eastern Europe with its old traditions and architecture, and the suppressed existence during Nazi and Russian occupations offers a very different and distinctive experience. Thanks to Jessica Clements for facilitating a unique travel itinerary.

Courtney was wonderful. She worked through all of my concerns and was very flexible when Delta caused a plan change. Her responses to my requests were promptly answered and her communication with me was excellent. Petur, our guide, was a delight. We enjoyed Iceland and his thorough knowledge helped us to experience all the country had to offer.

Jiri, our driver/guide in Slovenia, really made our trip. He is knowledgeable, flexible, and responsive. Even has a university degree in art history! He connected many of the dots between Slovenia and what has been going on in the rest of Europe over the past centuries!

The itinerary was perfect, considering we only had 5 days to fit in this extension of our 22 day Transatlantic Cruise. Hope did a great job in coordinating for us the highlights of Sicily. All the guides and drivers are always helpful and knowledgeable from Kensington. In Agrigento, our guide was an archaeologist who teaches at universities. He had notebooks with diagrams and maps to show us exactly what we were looking at. He answered questions so thoroughly, we felt that we had a tour and a history lesson. It was amazing and the pace of all the tou

We enjoyed working with Jamie Boar. She was knowledgeable, communicated well, friendly, and professional. We got all we wanted from the personal tours planned and were impressed with the high quality of the guide. We will certainly use Kensington Tours again.

I found Kensington Tours on Google. At my first visit to the site, I was contacted immediately by Julie Couturier. She made my inquiry seem like we were having coffee, and she just happened to know everything I needed to make me choose her as my representative and travel expert. I was recommended to other tour companies, by friends, but it was Julie that made me realize Kensington was the best choice. We started our discovery in 2018 and because I was traveling with my grandchildren, I wanted to ensure the trip was perfect. We had to make changes as we went along, first because we were able to confirm a suite at the Marriott Grand Residence on Park St. with reward points. Julie was quick to make all the necessary changes in our tours. We felt privileged to have had the tour guides that Julie set for us, each one was so very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour which kept our 13 and 11 years old interested. Julie suggested a play and what child can say the saw “Matilda” in London. We certainly would not have enjoyed our trip as much if we had tried to do this on our own. Julie suggested a visit to Warner Bros Harry Potter and it was worth every moment. I would have never gone there, so congrats again to Julie. She was also able to advise us as to where to purchase groceries for our room, having lived in London previously. I have had many friends travel around the world and I don’t know of one that speaks as highly of their tour company or their travel expert the way my family has. Thank you Kensington Tours and especially Julie.

We were extremely impressed with every aspect of our trip. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary and it could not have been more perfect. Chantal, our Destination Expert, worked with us to make sure that my physical limitations were not a problem. Each guide and driver took such good care of us. They were so knowledgeable and helpful. We plan on booking with Kensington again in the future. The service and amazing itinerary could not have been better. Thank you for memories that will last a lifetime!
