Day 1: Moscow

Enjoy an airport transfer with private vehicle and driver. For your added comfort, an English-speaking assistant will help you with check-in, as well as walk you through the welcome package documents, your itinerary, and answer your questions.

We will provide you with a letter of Invitation for your Russian Visa. Once payment has been received, the letter along with other important documents will be sent to you.

A welcome package with a city map, train tickets (if relevant), and any other touristic information that we deem you may find useful will be waiting for you upon your arrival at your first hotel on your trip.

Set out this evening with a private guide and vehicle for a ‘Moscow by Night’ city lights tour. Day 2: Moscow

Meet your private guide and depart on foot for half day walking tour of the iconic Kremlin, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Moscow's political center. A former military fortification, the imposing red brick walls of the Kremlin now stand to enclose a stunning complex of cathedrals, a palace, an armory, the sovereign treasury, the workplace of the Russian President, and more. Walk the complex grounds with your guide and visit the Kremlin’s Armory Chamber and Diamond Fund to learn about the immense wealth and influence of the Russian Tsars. Witness a remarkable collection of ancient State regalia, coronation dresses and ceremonial tsar vestments, ceremonial arms and armor, royal carriages as well as mind-blowing stockpiles of gold, diamonds and precious jewels.

Meet your private guide and depart on a half day tour of the Moscow Metro and Arbat Street. The Moscow Metro is one of the largest and most grandly built metro systems in the world. It was meant to be a showcase of the Soviet Union´s achievements both for the Russians and foreign visitors. The stations are all uniquely designed with decorative elements including mosaics, statues, chandeliers, marble floors, walls, and staircases, utilizing semi-precious stones and sculptures. The tour will proceed to bohemian Old Arbat Street, the heart of one of Moscow’s trendiest neighborhoods and the most famous pedestrian shopping street in the country. Day 3: Moscow - St. Petersburg

Meet your private guide and vehicle, and depart on a half day tour. Make your way to the Christ the Savior Cathedral, the tallest Orthodox Christian church in the world. A view of its stunning white and gold exterior is only trumped by look inside at its impressively ornate central dome paintings. Drive to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Novodevichy Convent and Cemetery, and walk within the white fortifications of the impressive 15-building complex. Cathedrals, towers, ramparts, and more, Novodevichy is a walk through Russia’s past, as over the centuries it has become the final resting place of key Russian nobles, notable authors and political figures. Don’t miss the frescoes in the complex’s oldest structure, the Smolensky Cathedral, which some of the finest in Moscow.

Please note: Novodevichy Monastery is temporarily under renovation and views may be largely obstructed during this process.

Day 4: St. Petersburg

With a private guide and driver, set out on a highlights tour of St. Petersburg to get acquainted with the main architectural and historical monuments of the city. Drive along the world famous Nevsky Prospect and view the Monastery of Alexander Nevsky with its magnificent Trinity Cathedral and the cemetery where Dostoevsky, Tchaikovsky, and other iconic Russians were buried. See the massive St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the fourth largest cathedral in the world, adorned with a golden dome which dominates the skyline along the Neva. You’ll visit Peter and Paul's Fortress, a Travel+Leisure ‘Thing Not to Miss’, and site where Peter the Great first broke ground for the construction of St. Petersburg. The citadel boasts a 400 foot bell tower, and became the burial site of many Russian tsars and nobles. Drive by the Summer Garden and stop in the Field of Mars with the eternal flame. Continuing to the third largest square in the world, see Palace Square with the Alexander Column, the Triumphal Arch of the General Staff Building, and the Winter Palace complex, home to the UNESCO-listed Hermitage.

Day 5: St. Petersburg

Take a full day tour to Pushkin, originally named Tsarskoe Selo (Tsar's Village), famous for the marvelous Catherine Palace and park. The town, also known as Pushkin, in honour of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin, was the main summer residence of the royal family. The collection of the palace includes a large number of precious works of art, such as furniture, porcelain, statues, and canvases, including personal belongings of Russian emperors and members of their families. Visit one of the most remarkable interiors of Catherine Palace, the Amber Room. Your private guide will tell the story of the consturuction of Catherine Palace and about the tragic moments in the palace's history, connected with the Nazi occupation during World War II. Continue with the summer residences of the Royal family, Peterhof. The world-famous palace, fountain, and park are an outstanding landmark of Russian artistic culture of the 18th-19th centuries. After the tour you will return to your hotel.

Choose between one of the various evening entertainment options St. Petersburg has to offer: performances at the Marinsky Theater, a folklore show in Nikolaevskey Palace, a show at the famous Ciniselli Circus, or a river cruise combined with a folklore show. Day 7: St. Petersburg

Meet your private driver and guide, and depart toward the pier where a private boat awaits your arrival. Your captain will welcome you and your guide aboard, as you embark on an approximate 1.5 hour scenic cruise on the Neva River and canals around St. Petersburg. Enjoy a unique vantage point as you cruise through the city at a leisurely pace, spotting landmarks and historic and cultural highlights along the way. Your driver will be on hand to return you to your hotel afterward.

Depart with a private guide and vehicle for a half day tour of Yusupov Palace; the former residence of the Russian nobles of the House of Yusupov, located on the River Moika. Refined luxury, splendor of high society, dramatic relationships, and the history of a rich aristocratic family are reflected in the expositions of the 18th century Yusupov Palace, one of the most mysterious places in St. Petersburg. The luxurious decorations of the interiors are dazzling: murals, carvings, marble, mirrors, gilded chandelier, silk clothes and refined furniture. A particular highlight is the cellar of the palace, featuring an exhibition on the life of Grigori Rasputin, a self-proclaimed healer who was assassinated in that very cellar back in 1916, after gaining unfavorable influence over the tsar and tsarina.

  • Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $350). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure.
  • Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $350 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of 30% of program price. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to loss of 100% of program price.
  • Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
  • Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
  • Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
