The ideal mix of high-altitude thrills, Old World walking tours, edible delights, and luxurious accents, this trip delivers the full spectrum of Switzerland in style.

We begin in cosmopolitan Geneva, where the world comes to work and play. After getting settled, you’ll embark on a private half-day walking tour of the city that will introduce you to its must-see sights – the enormous Jet d’Eau fountain, the cobblestone avenues of the Old Town, and sparkling Lake Leman to name a few – en route to a selection of the city’s finest cheese boutiques and chocolatiers. The complete Swiss experience continues a private tour of the Patek Philippe Museum, home to the world’s finest collection of precision timepieces.

Next, head north to Bern, the cozy Swiss capital. After a private half-day tour through the UNESCO-protected city center and its landmark Zytglogge clock tower, head into the hills of the pastoral Emmental on a private journey via e-bike, stopping along the Emmental Cheese Route to watch experts craft some of the world’s finest cheeses.

Between the pristine Thun and Brienz lakes like Interlaken, your next stop. Here, you’ll get a unique glimpse of this charming spot courtesy of a private horse-drawn carriage ride, followed by a magical journey up to Mt. Schilthorn. Set out on the Birg terrace towards the cliff pathway known as the Thrill Walk, which leads down into the vertical walls of the imposing rock massif. ... Show More »

When most people think of Switzerland, they think of Lucerne, a storybook city nestled amid the mountains on the shore of a glittering lake. Against this none-more-Swiss backdrop, you’ll explore the cobblestone streets and covered bridges of the medieval old town on foot with a private guide, sample delicious chocolates via a tasting session at the acclaimed Max Chocolatier, cruise Lake Lucerne, ascend to the summit of Mount Pilatus by cogwheel train, and explore the gorgeous countryside and quaint alpine villages of the Bernese Oberland with a private guide and driver.

Last stop: sophisticated Zürich. Get to know Europe’s financial center a little better through a half-day walking tour with a private guide, winding your way through the bustling banking district, the historic Old Town, and the chic Bahnhofstrasse en route to the Fraumünster, home of Marc Chagall’s beloved stained-glass windows.

Day 2: Geneva

Meet your guide for a private walking tour inspired by chocolate and cheese. During this gastronomic tour, you will stop at many of Geneva’s top chocolate and cheese boutique artisan shops to discover some of the finest Swiss chocolate and cheese specialties. Among the marvels created by the chocolatiers are delicious traditional Pavés de Genève (Geneva paving stones), which make for ideal gifts to take home to your family and friends. Your tour begins on the shores of Lake Leman along Geneva's right bank featuring stunning views of the Alps beyond and the towering Jet d'Eau – the world's tallest fountain. Continue along Geneva's park-like promenades and across the Rhone River into Geneva's ritzy shopping and banking district.  From there, the tour moves onto the Old Town which presents itself like a Gothic maze of cobblestone streets.  The Old Town is home to many historic structures including Saint Peter’s Cathedral, the Town Hall, Halle de Rive and the Place Neuve. Your walking tour will conclude with your guide escorting you back at your hotel. This tour includes multiple chocolate and cheese tastings.

The Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva is considered one of the world's foremost horology museums. Meet your English-speaking guide and private driver for a guided tour of the museum. Located in an entirely restored Art Deco building in the area of Plainpalais, in Geneva, the museum houses over four centuries of watchmaking divided into two important collections: the extraordinary antique collection from the 16th century, which includes the earliest ever watch made and the Patek Philippe collection from 1839 onwards. The latter bears testament to over 165 years of manufacturing the world's finest watches and intricate movements and includes the most complicated timepiece ever made, the Caliber 89. This astonishing museum is a logical and faithful conclusion to a true legacy of genius, and a must visit for any watch aficionado.

Fantastic tour that met all our special requests! Our anniversary celebration was perfect! Our grandchildren made so many memories from playing in the fields of the farm to sailing through the fjords and eating desserts at all the bakeries! A marvellous intergenerational experience!

  • Julie S — July 05, 2019 — Europe

Thank you to Daniel for making our family’s trip to Greece so enjoyable and memorable. We asked him for an “Instagram” worthy trip, and he delivered! The hotels on the islands were stunning, and our private tour guides at each stop easily accommodated our individual wishes. Our trip was the perfect mix of relaxation and exploration.

  • Elizabeth B — July 20, 2019 — Europe

I cannot tell you how impressed we were with your services. Everything from the drivers to the hotels to guides was five stars! We never had to wait in line and were treated like royalty. I highly recommend the private boat ride/tour to Capri. It was fabulous! We had never been to Italy and left feeling like we learned so much. We fell in love with the people and culture. We cannot wait to have Kensington book our next adventure.

  • Kimberly E — July 14, 2019 — Europe

It was the first time we have used a company of this nature to manage our bookings. Most often I book my rooms, and tours, but after this experience, I would definetely use Kensington again for a trip of this type. Our Destination truly supported us and allowed us to make changes until the plan was just perfect for us. This truly showed when we were in country and everthing went off perfectly. I was worried to have other book items on my families behalf seeing as we were traveling with kids (age 8 and 10), but I feel our destination Expert did take that into account and it was perfect.

There is so much to say about this amazing family trip to northern Spain we just came home from, but in short, the trip was even more than we could have hoped for - From the planning to the tour guides, drivers and accommodations our needs were met and in most cases surpassed. There is no way the trip could have been as successful without the help of Maryanne from Kensington Tours and her team.

Our Iceland trip was fantastic. From planning with Melissa (many times over until we had it right) to being greeted in Iceland and all of the wonderful tours we took, we had a fabulous time. Our guide, Sigga, was excellent. She guided us, told us tales of Iceland, was extremely accommodating with my elderly mom. We enjoyed being with her very much. Inke, our guide to the glacier, was also wonderful. We had a great time and felt Kensington did a fabulous job. Thanks!

The trip overall was amazing and all the activities and travel plans went so very smoothly. Our whole familiy really enjoyed every day of the trip. Patrick McCallion, the expert from your agency who helped us, was awesome! He not only set up everything perfectly for us but helped us with reservations for dinners at fine dining places and answered many questions we had in advance. We did leave our glasses in the van at one point in Barcelona and had to contact the local agent who quickly retrieved the glasses for us without any problem. We highly recommend this agency given the quality of the experience, the smoothness of the itinerary, and the flexibility to tailored the experience to our needs. Thank

This was our 6th Kensington tour. We have gone as a couple on trips and taken our children sometimes to destinations all over the world. We have never been disappointed and have had the most personal and professional service. We would not even consider using anyone else. Thank you Alania for everything! Our most recent trip to Russia and Scandinavia was fabulous and perfectly planned!
