BUENOS AIRES
Welcome to Argentina! Your printed itinerary will be provided to you upon arrival in which your guide will walk you through to ensure everyone is on the same page during your time here.
Meet your private English-speaking guide outside of airport customs. Waiting with a sign with your name on it, they will direct you to your awaiting private vehicle, and accompany you to your hotel for check-in.
Embark on a captivating private guided tour through the architectural splendors and culturally rich neighborhoods of northern Buenos Aires, culminating in an exclusive visit to a renowned poncho atelier and a legendary textile mill. Commence your journey in the refined districts of Retiro and Recoleta, where late 19th and early 20th-century aristocrats sought to recreate the grandeur of Paris in Buenos Aires. Stroll along the prestigious Avenida Alvear, famed for its opulent boutiques and majestic French-style palaces, now the residences of various embassies. In Recoleta, visit the Basilica de Nuestra Senora del Pilar, one of Buenos Aires' oldest Colonial-era churches. The tour then leads you to the celebrated Recoleta Cemetery, renowned for its elaborate mausoleums and the final resting place of Eva Peron, an enduring icon of Argentine history. Continue your exploration in Palermo Chico, a neighborhood known for its lavish parks, meticulously designed by renowned landscape architects. Pass through the San Martiniano Institute, embassies, museums, and significant monuments, soaking in the greenery of El Rosedal (the Rose Garden), the Monument “Carta Magna and the Four Regions of Argentina,” and the Botanical Garden. Next, journey to the heart of the design district to visit Casa Ayma, an Argentine luxury house renowned for creating the most exclusive ponchos in the world. These exquisite garments are crafted in the historic 19th-century weaving mill, Maison Borel, which offers a unique glimpse into Argentina's rich textile heritage. Experience the mill, where ancient tools and machines dating from 1830 to 1910 are still in use, and fabrics are woven using techniques that date back two thousand years. This atelier, one of the last of its kind, symbolizes the gaucho's legacy, offering shelter and protection against the elements of Patagonia. Conclude with a private transfer to your accommodation.
