Explore the beauty and spirit of the city on a 2-hour privately-guided walking tour through its historic Garden District and ending at Lafayette Cemetery #1, a graveyard rich in stories of the city's colorful past. After meeting your knowledgeable historian guide, you'll first meander through the majestic neighborhood of the city's Uptown area, legendary for its grand estates. Here you'll find America’s best collection of Antebellum mansions and 19th century architecture. From 1850s Greek Revival to 1870s Italianates to 1890s Queen Annes, the Garden District is composed of exquisite homes designed by some of the city’s most famed architects, boasting oak-lined streets and intricately manicured gardens. After wandering through the Garden District, you'll head towards the gates of the magnolia-shaded Lafayette Cemetery #1, abundant in imposing stone-carved tombs.
