Venture into the Outdoors
Enjoy an exclusive experience reindeer sledding and learning about Sami culture. Your Sami guide will collect you from Sorrisniva and introduce you to your reindeer, at which point you'll climb onto your sled for a ride through the local wilderness. Make a stop at a Sami lavvu (teepee-like tent), where you'll sit on reindeer skins around a warm fire, hearing tales about the Sami culture and gaining a fascinating insight into this special, semi-nomadic way of life. Your tour will conclude with a return sled ride back to Sorrisniva.

Its chefs create unique dishes using the best ingredients from Arctic Norway including reindeer and moose from the tundra, seafood from the Alta River and Norwegian sea, vegetables from local farms and berries picked in the local wilderness. Enjoy lunch at the iconic Lavvu restaurant. Representing the Sami tent design, the restaurant has a special ambiance creating a memorable dining experience.
Today you'll have the opportunity to learn to, and drive your very own snowmobile whilst keeping an eye out for the elusive Northern Lights. Meet your snowmobile guide inside the lobby at Sorrisniva Wilderness Lodge from where your snowmobile experience will begin. You'll be decked in appropriate clothing and safety equipment and instructed on the safe operation of your snowmobile, before setting out with your guide along a prepared snowmobile track in the area. You'll be lead through the wilderness of the Alta River valley, up onto the inland plateau where the absence of any background light maximizes you chance of viewing the Aurora Borealis. Stops will be made on the way to admire views. The experience ends with arrival at Sorrisniva.

Lace Up for Some Fresh Air
Enjoy the thrill of mushing whilst traversing through stunning local wilderness during this full-day Husky experience. Arrive at a family-owned kennel containing 25 huskies, where you'll be geared up in appropriate Arctic clothing. After a short introduction and safety briefing, set out on your unforgettable mushing experience. Glide along a trail that passes through typical Arctic terrain, including pristine snowy woods and the open Vidda (Finnmark plateau). Pause for lunch in an old earthen cottage or in the open with your husky team. Following lunch - and weather permitting - you'll have the opportunity to admire the Alta canyon and see a range of wild animals native to this region, as you slide silently through Europe's last remaining wilderness.
