PATAGONIA CRUISE TO USHUAIA
To Unknown Lands
Enjoy a two hour private guided orientation tour across the southernmost city in the world, led by an expert guide who will help you to discover some of the wonderful treasures of Ushuaia including panoramic viewpoints, historical sites, and of course, the local people. The excursion will depart from your hotel and begins downtown. After admiring the contrast between modern buildings and the typical wooden houses with gable roofs, the tour continues at the old Casa de Gobierno (Government Office of Tierra del Fuego) and at Nuestra SeÑora de la Merced Church, which was built in 1894, and was inaugurated in 1898. The tour then winds down with your final visit to the Saint Christopher Vessel, which came to rest in its current spot in Ushuaia Bay in 1953. The St. Christopher was brought to Ushuaia to raise the remains of the Monte Cervantes ship, a German vessel that floundered on the rocks in the Beagle Channel in 1930. At the end of your tour you will be brought back to your hotel where you can spend the rest of the day exploring at leisure or relaxing in your hotel.
Meet your English-speaking guide and driver for a private pier transfer.

CAPE HORN
Where The Oceans Meet
Today you will be sailing through Murray Channel and Nassau Bay to reach Cape Horn National Park, where weather permitting, you shall go ashore. The legendary Cape Horn was discovered in 1616 and is a sheer 1,394-foot high rocky promontory. For many years, it was an important navigation route between the Pacific and the Atlantic. It has been referred to as the ‘End of the Earth’, a park that has been declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2005.
In the afternoon, you will go ashore at historical Wulaia Bay, originally the site of one of the region’s largest Yamana aboriginal settlements. Charles Darwin landed there in 1833 during his voyage on the HMS Beagle. This area is also renowned for the mesmerizing beauty of its vegetation and geography. Here you'll take an enchanted walk through the Magellan Forest of lengas, coigÜes, canelos, ferns, and other endemic vegetation, to reach a panoramic viewpoint.
