Transfer from Oslo to Flam today by train, with a connection in Myrdal. The Bergen Railway is a unique experience on Northern Europe's highest-altitude railway line. One of the greatest challenges is the harsh and quickly changing weather. The line is exposed to deep low-pressure centers from the west, which can mean strong winds and heavy snow for part of the year. Keeping the railway open demands great effort and technical expertise. Today, skilled workers, effective equipment, tunnels and snow tunnels make the Bergen Railway one of the safest and most comfortable ways of travelling between Oslo and Bergen. The line is consistently ranked among the top rail experiences in the world. Four stops before the end of the line in Bergen, you'll disembark in Myrdal. In Myrdal, board a cogwheel train to Flam on the Flam Railway. The scenic 12-mile route between Myrdal and Flam is one of the steepest non-rack railway tracks in the world and provides some of Norway's wildest and most magnificent scenery. On the ride you can see rivers that cut through deep ravines, waterfalls cascade down the side of steep, snow-capped mountains, and mountain farms cling dizzily to sheer slopes. There are also a few spirals along the route which allow trains to rise on a steady curve until it has completed a loop, passing over itself as it gains height, allowing the railway to gain vertical elevation in a relatively short distance.

Feel the impressive power of nature with northern Scandinavia's largest glacier, the world's strongest tidal current, and perhaps even encounters with the majestic sea eagle. In the evening, Lofoten's fishing villages, steep mountains, and Vikings await.

The voyage continues on through narrow fjords and past wild mountains to Tromso, a city characterised by hunting and fishing, polar expeditions and courage. Now you have also reached the land of the Sami, Norway's indigenous people. The Indigenous SÁmi culture of Norway is deeply rooted in nature, featuring traditional livelihoods, distinct languages, music, clothing, and a strong commitment to preserving their heritage and rights. Your ship will also make stops at the ports of Sortland, Risoyhamn, Harstad and Finnsnes on the way to Skjervoy.

Cruise from Hammerfest to Berlevag, stopping at the ports of Havoysund, Honningsvag, Kjollefjord, and Mehamn. For many, the visit to the North Cape is a high point and a goal for voyages along the Norwegian coast. Up here in the polar landscape, nature is at its harshest and most desolate, but between bare plains and rugged cliffs people cling on and reap nature's bounty. You can also have a taste of the catch. How about some king crab?

Make brief port calls at Bardo and Vadso as you cruise from Batsfjord to Kirkenes today, making it as far east on this voyage as you can go. The border with Russia is only a few kilometres away, and the road signs in Kirkenes are in Norwegian and Russian.

Cruise from Mehamn to Tromso, with brief port calls at Kjollefjord, Honningsvag, Havoysund, Hammerfest, Oksfjord, and Skjervoy. The polar landscape changes as you sail towards the west and south. The great expanses are replaced by steep peaks, and in the evening the cruise sails into Tromso. Depending on the season, you can take a stroll in the midnight sun or under the Northern Lights, and explore the nightlife of the city dubbed "The Paris of the North".

Cruise Finnsnes to Stamsund and stop at the ports of Harstad, Risoyhamn, Sortland, Stokmarknes, and Svolvaer as you return to the wild, idyllic Lofoten Islands. Beneath the jagged mountains lie chalky, white sandy beaches, and fishing villages with a vibrant fishing industry. Here, locals use the coastal ships for everyday trips and transport. If the weather permits, the cruise ship will enter the narrow Trollfjord for a scenic passage.

As the ship ventures from Bodo to Rorvik, brief port calls will be made at Ornes, Sandnessjoen, and Bronnoysund. The journey continues, crossing the Arctic Circle and sailing away from the polar and sunlit nights. On the way, you can disembark in Kristiansund and be driven along the Atlantic Ocean Road, which has been called the world's most beautiful drive. The road meanders along islets and skerries, and afterwards you can re-embark in Molde.

Cruise Torvik to Bergen, and stop at the ports of Maloy and Floro along the way. The last day of the tour takes you through a diverse coastal landscape of bare rocky mountains and a maze of sounds and waterways between many islands. The great fjords and glaciers are situated inland. Bergen awaits at the end of the voyage.
