Get a Lay of the Land
Savor Copenhagen’s culinary traditions on a private half-day walking tour that takes you from gourmet street fare to refined market specialties and sweet indulgences. Meet your guide at your hotel and set out through the city’s historic streets, enjoying local flavors while learning about Denmark’s food culture and traditions. Begin with a gourmet take on the classic Danish hot dog, then continue to Torvehallerne, the city’s bustling covered market, where you will be treated to an artisanal smorrebrod, Denmark’s iconic open-faced sandwich with fresh seasonal toppings, and a selection of fine Danish cheeses. As you stroll, admire notable landmarks and lush gardens while your guide introduces local producers and explains how Copenhagen became a reference point for modern gastronomy. A stop at a boutique chocolatier or candy shop offers a sweet interlude, and a pause at one of the city’s stylish cafes allows you to enjoy expertly brewed coffee. The experience concludes in the heart of the city, leaving you free to explore at your leisure. Please note, tastings may vary according to season and supply.
The Tivoli Gardens first opened in 1845 and has inspired Walt Disney when he was creating the original Disneyland. Constantly evolving the park has added new elements including a beloved cultural icon "The Tivoli Youth Guard", a comprehensive children's musical education. Today Tivoli Gardens is a famous amusement park featuring roller coaster rides, pavilions, carnival games, open-air concerts, performing art shows and a Saturday Nights firework display. Tivoli also features an abundance of wonderful pathways and river where you can take a break surrounded by nature. At Tivoli Gardens there is something for everyone! Entrance ticket is included.
